NFT: Chris Davis got a hit!!!!!!

dep026 : 4/13/2019 2:18 pm
Why he didn’t retire after breaking his 0-54 streak, one will never know. Definitely in the running for worst contract ever.
Would you retire with a guaranteed contract?

If I were Davis I’d say I’ll be happy to go away tomorrow just mail me a check for the outstanding amount in my deal. Otherwise I’ll go strike out a couple hundred times what do I care?
he kept the ball

holy shit.
Time to start another streak

Let’s do even better this time, Chris. You can do this, little buddy!
Why doesn't Baltimore

just release him? I know they have to pay him anyway but he is a negative WAR player.

If he gets hurts they can at least get some insurance money back for him. That is why they are probably hoping for.

They should call Tonya Harding. She knows a guy.
I’m actually really happy for him

He had 3 hits today and 4 rbi’s Nice way to end that horrible streak
I've never seen such a weird looking line in a box score

They guy goes 3 for 5 with 4 RBI's and he's batting .079

Ok I was on the fence if he was good .... but if he's negative WAR then I'm sold
he is owed some 90mm

he isn't being released.
Not a good player
bigbluehoya : 4/14/2019 7:49 am : link
But I give him a lot of credit for the way he’s carried himself. Many players wouldn’t be able to hold the high road in the face of so much negative attention.

I agree with hoya...

That wasn't easy for him to deal with, I'm sure - but he stood there and stood tall and took the heat every day and answered the questions. It was a story every day until it wasn't.

It's not his fault he was offered that contract and signed it.

Even better?

He broke through against Boston... and not only did he just get one hit, he got 3. And the Os won the game.

Bonus points.
