Layers of smokescreens

Pete in VA : 4/13/2019 9:24 pm
Supposed interest in Murray is creating a smokescreen for supposed interest in Gary, which is a smokescreen for supposed interest in Devin White, which is a smokescreen for Drew Lock, which is meant to entice a team to offer a bunch of picks to trade up to #6. And those picks will be used to trade for Rosen, who will be flipped to the Redskins for their #1 next year, which could be as high as the #5 pick. Then the Giants will be sitting pretty. Maybe.

Love the simplification

on transactions prior to the draft to build intrigue the day of.

The "smoke screens" this year have been much lighter than usual... but no one remembers when they start to show, were a week out.. so I expect to see them then.

No idea. The only two no-brainers that ANYONE could have predicted in the last 15 years were Eli and Saquon. Otherwise, no one knows beyond speculation, even the “informed” kind.

What is this based on? The only place I have seen that suggested is on BBI. The reason I ask is because it isn’t in the best interests of the teams that would have to go along with it, and it isn’t like a few trades means people will not watch the draft. It’s a scenario that makes very little sense.
That's way too complicated for a team

Or was that just a smokescreen so that they could...

No you’re right. That seemed dumb at the time and turned out to actually be dumb.
