Rashan Gary - this is obvious
Q. Williams - mass joy due to him falling?
Daniel Jones - at 6? and at 17?
Greedy Williams - overreach?
Trade up/down?
The obvious answer is Gary (part of me wants to see this for the pure joy of getting a great player and pissing off BBI!)

Fruit Punch Gatorade.
Jones has bust all over him. There are better qbs available either via this draft, next draft or trade (Rosen for #37).
This obsession you have with taking joy in other people's unhappiness is just flat out weird.
It will be a lose / lose all around.

I am a huge Gary fan. Getting him and seeing him do great and proving people wrong is a good thing, no?
If Jones turns out to be an Eli for the Giants...next 18 years...wins 2 Super Bowls....we would call it one of the best picks ever

Funny you mention Joseph. IIRC, many (most?) on here felt he was a steal at 25..

I'd take that bet, with the exception of Yoohoo. That seems like money in the bank.

any pick should shut down BBI, but dep, I'll put a friendly wager out there that Gary become the next William Joseph before he becomes an impact player.

I really can't remember, but I might have been one of them. I know I was very happen with the value for Marvin Austin too.
Just goes to show that busts happen to a lot of players, regardless of the circumstances and their natural talent.

What the fuck do you guys have against Yoohoo?
Chocolate goodness with a hint of carbonation!! It can't get any better than that.

Yoo-hoo is the subway of chocolate milk. Bannable in my house. We have a farm 10 minutes from my house that makes the best chocolate milk you will ever taste.
😂
first *preseason game.
That wins the prize. I might be apoplectic if that happens.

Yup. My bad
In all honesty, I haven't drunk the shit since I was a kid.

Yeah no one believes you.
LOL this
We used to drink that stuff A lot
I don't see any #6 selection potential with Jones or Haskins. The selection of either should shut down BBI. Forever.
Half? You're an optimist. I'd guess 80%.
I honestly don't think that happens as it seems priority 1 to improve the D is a DL player that can wreak havoc , play multiple techniques and create rush lanes for other blitzers from the back 7-8, while being able to create pressure on his own.
Williams fits that bill perfectly.
Gary in theory is supposed to be that kind of guy too. But he is more highly touted freaky athlete than guy with natural pass rush ability. Williams showed amazing hand technique balance and natural pass rush ability. When he gets pressure on the QB it isn't a function of purely height, weight speed and just outclassing an inferior college level blocker who won't be playing on Sundays or just didn't get out of his stance quick enough.
What Williams already can do translates very strongly to the NFL level. What Gary does from a pass rushing standpoint will NOT. And there isn't enough natural pass rush in him to be fostered and built up into something befitting the 6th overall pick.
Clowney was the same darn thing. He's developed into a pretty darn good run defender but boy does he leave you wanting for more from a pass rush department. Some guys despite having freakish HWS just don't have that gift of being able to get home on the pass rush.
Yet Giants Im betting still think they can develop Gary. Again, just because a guy has great talent doesn't automatically mean you can develop something like pass rush ability. There has got to be some flash of that talent to see its there. Its just not there! When he wins its because of the HWS more often than the art of hand fighting and nuance. They thought the same with Flowers and Apple. You need to see a foundation that translates to the NFL. Its not there with Rashan.
Greedy Williams at 6
Trading up from 6 to draft Haskins
Drafting Haskins at 6 would not spur me to celebrate with a fresh bottle of Yoohoo but it wouldn't be as horrible as actually trading up for him. I hope we pass on him completely.
Anyone remember those goofy old Yoohoo commercials starring Yogi Berra?

I could even tolerate Greedy at 6 more (not of one of the big 3 defenders Q, Bosa or Allen fell though) just because there is a skill set of mirroring receivers effortlessly that consistently shows up on tape. That kind of skill set translates very well and is the most important skill set for a defense that wants to blitz alot.
