I don't have any questions about this young man with regard to the chatter about his character. A good athlete, Rosen has a strong arm and accuracy -- he can make all the throws. By Year 2, he'll be a successful starter in the NFL. I really like this player.

Brandt is one of the best in the biz in terms of his eye for translatable NFL talent.
Sweat is high up there as is Oliver and rightly so. If Giants stay at 6 and Q Will, Bosa or Allen dont drop it should be one of these guys of White. Or a trade down.
but he seems to rely too much on Combine/Pro Day numbers for my liking in those player blurbs.
I much prefer to read about what prospects do best in live games and what they need to improve on. I don't particularly care about a defensive tackle's broad jump numbers or a quarterback's Pro Day completion % (when there's no one else on the field except a receiver).
we can more than make do with what we have. We need a lot of talent on D and some more OL talent. THAT’s what we need to be doing. A potentially great TE is a luxury we can ill-afford right now, imv

Lol, twostep, you have all of this Rosen stuff right at your fingertips. I am with you on this one, we need to make that trade if we get the right deal.
he's not a power thrower, more of a touch thrower. I know Met Life isn't as windy as it used to be, but I think in order to play in Met Life, you've got to have a strong arm.

I agree about the talent needed but Hockenson is a fantastic blocker and would really help the OL, especially in setting the edge.
If the top three D players are gone, I wouldn't be pissed if we drafted him, considering I don't think an OL is rated high enough to take at 6.
Brandt list has over a dozen names that are shockingly higher or lower than what so many "draft experts" have been saying for weeks.
Brandt has forgotten more more than most of the supposed experts know
He knows these kids. He’s not compiling others info. He’s still involved in a lot of draft stuff including player evaluations. I’d that’s his list he’s not using others opinions Imo From everything I’ve heard of him still at his age

He would be the cheapest, and I keep reading things like Brandt wrote about him.
Rosen is a no-brainer. The problem is that the Giants brass have no brains.
I think trading for Rosen is a good idea for the right price, but saying DG has no brains if he doesn’t trade for him is idiotic. These guys know a hell of a lot more about 1.) football and 2.) who these players are than we will ever know.
It’s irritating to read these posts about DG like he is some jackass first time GM that knows nothing. I’m not saying he is the greatest GM ever, but you could do a hell of a lot worse. He knew enough to fire that smug prick Marc Ross.

If what you say is true why is AZ dumping him?

Because they have a new HC who wants to install a specific, "Gimmiky" offense like he had at Texas Tech, and he thinks Murray is "touched by the hand of god". He thinks Murray is the perfect guy to run this crappy Texas Tech offense. It has more to do with Kingsbury and Murray, than Rosen. Most people think Rosen played well considering how crappy the Cardinals were.
For those that would like a QB whether it be rd 1 or rd 2-- one pick within rds 1 and 2 you have to get an OLINEMAN, don't you? Or are you going to expect Giants get someone like Remmers?
And Murray entered the draft. Many have me shit about it too.
It is very plausible that a trade is made and if NYG doesn’t cost a 1st round pick then it would allow NYG to add to the defensive front and maybe the OL.

The ideal situation.
And we can add: such a trade almost certainly won't happen until the draft is taking place.

Thanks. I'd actually prefer Kyler Murray at 6 but since that does not appear likely then I think Rosen is exceptional value and is too good to pass up on. It would be hard to swallow if the Giants go a different QB route in this draft IF Rosen can truly be had for #37.
Im not sure how we could take Lock/Haskins/Jones at 17 or gosh forbid 6 or a trade up if Rosen can be had for 37. Or a Grier or Finley at 37.
To illustrate the value- the 17 pick is worth 950 and the 37 is worth 530. Thats the difference of a high second rounder in value
Clearly, Brandts rankings show Rosen is at worst an equal prospect to the above and probably available for a cheaper draft pick and less money.
Brandt's 2018 list looks pretty good with hindsight Â
Had Tremaine Edmunds higher (6th) than almost every draft guru. Just read this AM that with Kyle Williams gone Edmunds has become the leader of the Bills defense in his second season!
Oliver hates the Eagles apparently, so that's a start ;)

He also had Mayfield at #4, which was a good call.
Hernandez was at #15, which seems about right.
But, I have no clue on a lot of these guys.
2018 Hot 150 - ( New Window )
And Jones is at #17. LOL
Meant to also say if he's picked in the correct round. Although ironic Gibrandt has him at 17th rated player
That seems to be the scuttlebutt from the more NFL connected draftniks even if they don't share the assessment. Jones or Lock as #2

The Giants brass has no brains cause they aren't doing what you want. Gotcha.

Wow. Pretty special. Bush also has some blitz potential too which Bettcher likes.
