The bottom of the Yankees order is horrendous.
Fuck that shit though....Win a damn game.
Hopefully that's been resolved.
Yanks have to call Gio up by Saturday or else lose him for nothing. He's not in the Yankees top 7 starters, even with Sevy out, but he's probably Mets 5th best guy. Mets have no use for Frazier, but even if he's not great, he's probably better than the last guy or two on the Yankees bench.
Any chance this minor trade proposal could help both teams?
It's probably more likely than not that Andujar does need surgery and won't be able to return, but until then, they probably won't go outside the org for infield help.
Last thing we need here is another guy who doesn't get on base or put the ball in play.
Thairo had a really strong spring and he's 10 years younger. And not hurt right now.
"Most of these guys never had a prime"
We're an injury or two away from Mitchel Friedman in the lineup...
Paxton throwing hard tonight. A few 98mph heaters in there.
Yes my screen was green and pixelated a bit at the intro.
He's also just due to cool off... he won't hit .450 all year. So, it might be that a bit of a correction is coinciding with the move up in the order.
He's batted leadoff a decent amount of times in his career so it's not totally new - but his OBP batting there is just a tick over 30% - which obviously isn't good.
In his career to date, the 2 hole and 7 hole seem to have been the best spots for him.

Yeah it's working fine now.
Lol wow.. really?
Getting pretty close to just being totally done with this guy.

Yeah just turned on the game. Corralling screaming kids. Not my brightest moment.
Great signing so far, though. He's been our most consistent hitter by a mile.
The guy really has been huge so far and just the kind of bat we needed in the lineup.
Gotta give Cashman his due with this signing. At first I thought why sign him but not once the season started. I know it's early but it's clear how good he is and what he brings to the game.
Look at the rest of the lineup after him.
They have no one else?? Gets pretty thin after Torres.

The positional versatility and glove have been invaluable, too.
Before the season started, I actually wondered how Boone would get him in the lineup ~5x a week since it would have taken a mix of Torres @ SS, Stanton in LF, Andujar DH'ing, Bird out of the lineup + Voit DH'ing, etc... to get him 3-4 games @ 2B, and then a game or 2 @ 3B and maybe a game @ 1st.
Now here we are, wishing we had a couple more DJ's to fill injured player spots with. Go figure...

Exactly right. The only possible change to the top of the order I'd even consider is getting Frazier in the two hole and sliding the rest down but I'm not thrilled with moving Judge from where he's used to being.
Aside from that there's not really any other options right now. Maybe if Gardy gets hot they can get him back at lead off and have some maneuverability but I'm not counting on that and I think Boone's (Cashman's) hands are tied.
