I would like to see the Giants take him if he is on the board in round 6 or 7 regardless of whether or not they take a QB in round 1. I am not a fan of Lauletta but he can compete with Dolegala for the #3 spot next year. Dolegala is very raw but he has great size and a great arm. A year or two developing under Shurmur could work wonders. With so many day 3 picks the Giants would be wise to roll the dice and hope they hit the jackpot.
RE: Waiting as long as they did to select a corner Â
the last thing we need is a complement to Engram at TE
Have you taken a close look at our current secondary?
We need reinforcements at corner and safety.
The Giants have 12 picks using one on a great blocking TE with upside as a receiver is a great use of a day 3 pick. Day 3 pick CB's aren't a sure thing. I expect the Giants to use two picks on CB's but I am a huge fan of Moreau's and I think he will end up being a steal for whatever team that drafts him.
That it will be Lock/Jones at 6, then the best defensive lineman/edge at 17 and best OL prospect at 37. Seems to fall in line with the value in this draft. Pick 17 could be one of Farrell, Burns, Lawrence, Wilkins or Sweat, and any one of them would be outstanding.

I agree. QB at 6 or the every latest they take a chance and grab one at 17.

If BPA applies in round 1, doesn’t it also ally here regardless of position?
That's a great question! I've wondered about that.
I come down on the side of No.
1. Way more analysis, film etc has been done on potential pick #6 vs pick # 15 to determine BPA than pick # 125 and #134.
2. The odds of a lower pick making the team are much smaller, so need should play a bigger role. We need a RT -- it makes sense to pick a RT at 125 than an OG.
Just does not do it for me at 6, they need 2 defensive linemen, an edge rusher, and a cornerback, Devin Bush is a much better fit for the Giants, and he could be had with the 17th pick, that is why I do not see white as a real option at 6.
I know he had a knee injury and his numbers went down last year as compared to 2017 but he was triple teamed a great deal of the time. The 2 LB's playing behind him led the team in tackles. That tells me that Oliver takes at least 2 people to slow him down.
If their QB is available at 17 then I think they pull the trigger otherwise go defense again. This teams inability to get off the field was the problem last year not the offense.
And Ferrell would make the Def quick. Not a bad use of the picks if the big four (Williams, Bosa, Allen, and Oliver) aren’t there. I would go TE with Hockenson or trade down, get some picks this year and next.. and grab a second tier edge guy or a Tackle, or White if he’s still there. I don’t have Bush in my top 20.TE makes sense if you take an identity maker. Hockenson is worth it at 6.
Marty, we have a need at CB... the board looks ripe for taking one at #37, but if your staring at a tackle for #37 that’s in a tier above the available corners ( or safety like Taylor Rapp)... you take him. I have a feeling well hav Rome than one second rounder.
Or not. I see defense at 6.
Agree.
The first three picks are solid but let's get serious. We need a corner much more than a TE or a G

Moreau would get plenty of playing time and he would replace Ellison as early as 2020. He would be a great compliment to Engram.

Tell us why you don't like Little? Most mocks have him not being there at #37. The Giants wish he would be there.

There will be a QB in there. Most likely at six.

Only way is if one of the big four fall. If not it’s lock.

Don't you guys get tired of being wrong every year.

Would be a bad pick

He has busy written all over him. Bad season bad combine.
