Keep an eye on the Giants here. They are interested in him as their right tackle ...

OL Mike Remmers continues to progress nicely from minor back surgery he had earlier this offseason. Teams we've visited/spoken to have stayed in touch and he'll be signing somewhere after the Draft. He looks forward to being healthier & stronger than he's been the last 2 seasons.

My assumption is that they are drafting a RT whether Remmers signs or not. I don't think his value will be enough to change anything.
I'm hoping DL, Pass rusher, and OT for the first 3 picks not necessarily in that order.

I don't want the Giants to come out of the draft without a plug-and-play RT hoping that Remmers will sign with them.

This absokutely. The Giants have 2 30+ bookends both of which have experienced injury concerns. Not taking at least 1 OT is very irresponsible. I would prefer to get 2 O lineman in the 3rd and 4th rounds unless we take one with the 2nd 1st rounder we have.
If I'm his agent, I'm keeping my options open, gauging the interest of every other team that might be interested in him.
If I'm the Giants, I'm not counting on that chicken before it's hatched. What if he signs with another team? What if he can't pass a physical?
The RT position is way too important to leave it up to chance.
Always wondered what the significance of signing him AFTER the draft would be, and only assumption is you don’t want teams behind you knowing you’re not drafting an LT
Similar hints that something is in the works trade wise from same resident asshats this morning. Whether it’s QB related or not is unknown. But assumption is that it must be. Again, what’s the secret until draft day for?
Tie above two together with the direct hinting it is defense virtually guaranteed at six, and it all does tie together pretty nicely...
Willie, if you're going to build your offense around your dynamic young RB, in addition to protecting your aging, relatively immobile QB, than you'd better not leave anything regarding your offensive line up to chance.
Remmers was released. He doesn't figure into the comp pick calculations
Do we know if Remmers took a physical? He probably knew that he couldn’t pass one and told the Giants beforehand. Maybe this was just an interview.
Why would the other teams not interview him at least? Waiting for him to be healthy? Why would he back away from interviewing if other teams are interested?
I think the handshake deal is in place and he will sign as soon he can pass the physical. He chose the Giants. NJ is where he wants to be. How crazy is that?

If the Giants want a future LT, they need to draft one, after they draft a future RT.
Stop screwing around with projections.
Gettleman mentioned that Remmers had "just had back surgery" when interviewed on Sirius a few days after Remmers visited. Doesn't seem like there was any uncertainty with regard to his physical condition.

Why bother bringing him in, to watch him not pass your physical?

Nor is there any certainty as to where he'll sign if/when he's healthy.
Next year throw money at Daryl Williams if he returns to form during his "prove it" deal
This may say more about how long they think it is going to take Remmer to pass a physical than anything else. Not knowing whether he's in the Giants' pocket pre-draft screws up use of picks 6 and even 17, depending on how highly the OTs in the draft are rated. For the Giants getting an RT able to play right away is not optional. Use of 6 for an OT may seem high, but 17 may be too late for the best of them.
We will be Drafting one early. Remmers is a swing tackle/OG versatile backup type. He's not a long term part of the solution for this O-line. IMO DG knows that.
What does that even mean?
