Sheesh, you’re insufferable. We get it. You think we suck

WTF is your problem.
i said its an easy schedule and even if we are just mediocre which would be an improvement from 2 years of awful.... they should win 8 games. INSUFFERABLE... the nerve....

fk off how about that--

I could fo that, asshole

And this was mild compared to your usual opinion posts on the team. Appreciate the asshattery, but that’s all

Thurs night in NE sucks

Here is the generic "Eli does not play defense and if you indeed look closely, he actually put up average numbers that day" riposte.
This is about as gentle as it gets

I think we play three games in CST, enjoy an away game in Met Life stadium, and play Philly twice at the end of the season, when Carson Wentz is usually hurt. Super Bowl.

This schedule they absolutely can win 8 games, which means if they want a QB they should get one this year. Otherwise they will have to pay HEAPS more to get into the top 5 next year for a QB.

We are going on year 7 of a playoff drought, we do suck. I didn't see anything wrong with hitdog's post. You should lay off or just care less going forward. Not that big if a deal. No need to 'catch feelings'. Have a good day everybody

The insufferableness I refer to in the main, are his posts of late, not only on this thread. I should have been clearer on that. And yes, I have been letting most of this stuff go..We have sucked, but we should be improving, sooner, rather than later, imho. Too, it hasn’t been 7 years of no playoffs, we did get in in 2016, albeit not memorable..

weeks are a cakewalk

You realize that pretty much every NFL fan looks at the Giants on their schedule and feels the same way.

This is what I don’t understand. The metrics suggest we may be worse than virtually every team on our schedule. We’ve won 8 games combined the last two seasons. Why do people think we are going to just destroy teams that are perceived as weak? Like we have a right to 8 wins. The talent on this team will not get us to 8 wins.

I know, I’m a negative Nancy. But that is how I feel. Everyone else here can drink the Kool-Aid. I’m not.
Have any of you watched football
LakeGeorgeGiant : 4/17/2019 3:53 pm : link
in the last 20 years?

Who fucking knows who is going to be good? Every year you guys think you know everything and every year 8 weeks in everybody is like "whoa this year is so weird, who would have thunk herp derp", but you never ever notice this pattern. Ever.

Giants fans could potentially get to see Kyler Murray, Sam Darnold, Josh Allen and Mitch Trubisky.
Kind of intereresting
jvm52106 : 4/17/2019 4:04 pm : link
the way the NFC East will basically be a 3 out of 4 game stretch with the Giants getting the Eagles twice and the Skins in that stretch.

Imagine if the Giants and Eagles made the Wild Card and were to play each other. They would essentially have played 3 times against each other in 5 weeks.
I hate opening on the road in Dallas.....
Simms11 : 4/17/2019 4:13 pm : link
it has to be like 4 times in the last 6 years?! Dallas is a tough out in their stadium on opening weekend. Can't get started off on wrong foot again.

Dave on the UWS : 4/17/2019 4:23 pm : link
with Hitdog’s post? I’ll take mediocre or decent, that would represent real progress! 8-8 or better with good health and a few breaks. Anyone who expects more is dreaming.

If we could "like" posts, this would get one from me. No one has a clue what any team is going to be like this upcoming year at this point. Draft hasnt happened, injuries, signings, releases, etc.......

Its hard enough to predict during the season, not even gonna try in April!

I like the schedule
Stupendamatic : 4/17/2019 4:47 pm : link
Thursday night game is in Foxboro after a home game so that's not too bad travel wise for them on a short week.
Bears and Packers after our bye I like since both will be tough. By then, ideally, we should be playing our best ball.
Both Eagles game after the bye is a plus as well.

9+ wins and competing for the division is very possible.

One of the board’s worst posters weighs in..If you bothered to read my 3:31 post, it explained what I should have said in the first place. I meant to say, or should have said, that hitdog has been to me, insufferable the last bunch of weeks. This thread was rather lame. I was not referencing his post on this thread, or, as I said in my 3:31, I should have been clearer. I wasn’t.

He told me to fuck off. I told him I could do that and then I added asshole. That effectively ended it..

Hitdog is a legitimate poster? By what OTHER metric are you referencing that opinion, beyond his decent to very good asshat tidbits? Sorry, I don’t see it..Or buy it. Imho

No west coast
Archer : 4/17/2019 5:09 pm : link
The Giants will not be traveling very far this year
which is punctuated by an extra game in the Meadowlands
They also have away games on either side of the break.
The only liability to the schedule are all of the national late games

Is this the least amount of Travel possible?
Jim in AZ : 4/17/2019 5:12 pm : link
I'm thinking this has to be the least possible amount of travel.?

AFC East Road games :Jet & Pats
NFC Central Road games : Lions & Bears

I guess the only way it could possibly be shorter is if the last place south was Carolina or Atl.

If the last few years have been front loaded with travel and tough match ups, this is about as easy as you can expect ...

Out-of-division schedules don’t get much friendlier. I may slowly come around to the idea that they can make this season interesting.

Another productive draft along the lines of last year in terms of immediate contributors and they could be in business.

Here's the Giants openers since the league realigned in 2002:

2019: @DAL
2018: JAC
2017: @DAL
2016: @DAL
2015: @DAL
2014: @DET
2013: @DAL
2012: DAL
2011: @WAS
2010: CAR
2009: WAS
2008: WAS
2007: @DAL
2006: IND
2005: ARI
2004: @PHI
2003: SL
2002: SF

There was a mini-streak going on opening against the Skins for a few years, but if we're going to keep getting Dallas in Week 1 there should be more years with the game at MetLife.
Could be anywhere from 5-11 to 8-8
