Who do you feel comfortable taking here? Ok, lets say the Giants decide that Ed Oliver has an instant starting roll. They decide to make BJ Hill the backup. Oliver is undersized, but Aaron Donald is too and if your body frame is similar to Aaron Donald you can suddenly perform as well as him. Yadda yadda yadda.
You want high impact players who are constantly on the field with a pick this high. Who else is in contention in this draft slot? Besides Murray, all defensive players were selected. Do you consider an OT like Williams and Taylor. Basically building a monster OL so that Barkley becomes an instant hall of famer (think of Emmitt Smith's OL) and the line is built for the next Giant QB, or do you take some other forms of risk? Do you gamble with Montez Sweat, Rashan Gary, etc. In this scenario we say that Haskins is not a consideration. The Giants want their future QB to have mobility and he doesn't have any. So who's at the top of your board in this awful situation?

The obvious idea would be to trade out. But lets say for argument sake you can't trade out. You have to take someone. You can't take a QB. The Giants have decided they don't feel good about this QB class.

Mark Bavaro couldn’t have saved those 2 ... not to mention Hockenson projects as much better than Rhett Ellison ... good night

Plenty of quality talent left for us at #6 in that scenario. I'd be very excited to Draft Oliver, Bush or Sweat in that instance. And if the FO has a conviction on a QB at #6 that works too.

That would apparently be a ridiculous thing to do, since we already have well-paid plsyers on the roster at each of those positions.
This feels a lot like 1996 when it was a 4 player draft and we were sitting at 5 and wound up with Cedric "Cyclops" Jones.
This one seems like a 5 player draft and we are sitting at 6... Get the hell out of there, and do it sooner rather than later. I think the Giants lose leverage once they are on the clock.
There is a clear dropoff after the top 5. The next group of players all seem to grade out similarly until the next dropoff around 15...

Do you really think that you know who will be picked ahead of us?
Do you really think that you know the values of the top players in the draft or even know who they are?
Do you really think that regardless of who we pick that we are going to get a bunch of starters who will move us from 5-13 to 13-5 in one year, or that this would happen if we were to draft in the 3rd or 4th slot instead of the 6th?
Do you really think that if there is no good player at 6, or that the rest of the League will stop drafting first rounders 7-32 and paying them millions of dollars?
