Swept the Sox in a brief 2 game series....time to drop the hammer on the Royals.
Mike Ford in the lineup as DH.
Crowd is constantly late arriving.
just guessing, but "game day thread"?
Meanwhile, an interesting article about the Tampa Bay Rays' fast start on their tiny budget.
new age Rays? - ( New Window )

Lol wow brain fart
Love it.
Game starts a bit earlier, and it ends right around the time my old man sensibilities start kicking in and telling me I should get some sleep.
He says he's going to be ready when first eligible... which, I believe is Sunday.
My guess is the Yanks give him an extra day just to be sure and that he'll be back for the West Coast trip next week.

Well he isn't really crappy crap.. velo is down a bit.

Well, if last year's form is any indication, he may start to put it back together the rest of the way. The first inning or two was often brutal last year.

There's no trying in baseball!
or JA Happ.....but Catfish is a good one.

Article yesterday said he is on track to return Sunday
but really, doesn't he have two lats to worry about?
Football is a game of inches and baseball is a game of millimeters.
Here comes another one tonight.
How come Tampa wins with there no name line up??? How about guys like Judge Torres and voit start stepping up and getting hot

How many of Fraizer's hits have been waisted because there is nobody that can hit behind him? This team needs its wounded players back.

better coached is my opinion. There are franchises that seem to squeeze talent out of turds like they invented baseball. I understand but don't agree with the Yankees seeming total embrace of handing the reigns of the team to nerds with calculators. Apparently they can't read MRI's either.
Hopefully a comeback is in order. If not, we've got to take the next 3... if we play all of them (rain)
Really.
Dear lord we need to trade for this guy or threaten to cut Holder if he doesn't change his name to Dick Holder.
German struggled with the long ball... but the 9 K and 0 BB is very important.
He's finding his control. He's going to turn into a really nice pitcher if he stays down this road. He wasn't even poor tonight... he had a fine outing.
This one is on the bats if we lose.
And maybe Holder, too.
I'm getting really sick of these liberal strike zones.
Pathetic performance, simply no energy.
Hopefully we can get the game in tomorrow night. I don't want to let this bad taste marinate for 2 days.
On to the next game. Does Tyler Wade ever get a hit with
RISP, answer no.

I am pretty much convinced that Tyler Wade sucks.
He's versatile in that he can play several positions, and still not hit a lick regardless.
His speed is nice, but he never gets on base so he can't use it.
141 MLB AB's across 3 seasons and the guy can't even crack a 25% OBP or post a .200 BA.
He's bad.
