This is not a Rosen to NYG thread, just a general question on what the Cardinals will do with him. I’m assuming they will draft Murray.
1. They can keep Rosen and have an open competition in camp. If Rosen plays well combined with another QB getting hurt, his value goes back up to potentially a 2020 first round pick.
2. Trade him on draft day for likely a 2nd rounder.
I think it is fascinating to watch this play out. Who makes a move for him?
-Pats
-Redskins
-Chargers
-Steelers
-Giants
There are a ton of teams who could be in play for him. How do you think it plays out?
I give ZERO credence to the fact that Rosen was a bust in his first NFL season. That Cardinal team belonged in the debunked AAF. I can't see how anyone can pass judgement on Rosen based on what the Cardinals fielded and were coached.
I'm one of those that's ALL IN for Rosen!
You don't draft a new QB #1 overall and keep your previous QB of the future on the roster. That would be unfair to Murray and waaaay too much of a distraction.
Would love Rosen to end up with the NYG but I think he goes to Wash either for their #1 or for a #2 this year and #2 next year.

I have a weird feeling he ends up in Washington as well. Not sure why I think that will happen (that rumored trade package seemed fake to me), but I just do. I did like how he handled that interview today, seemed more mature.

Me too.

i think this would be my approach
Apparently Schefter said he thinks he will be a Giant.
If we could get Josh Rosen for #37, Gettleman would have to be crazy not to do it.
He took a beating and kept getting up. Even when the Cards were out of the game, he would hang in the pocket and take a hit.
Most all his teammates praised his work ethic, first in the building, always willing to help a teammate.
He never rattled, he never got down on himself. He went through a miserable season and yet his numbers weren't that bad compared to the other rookie QB's.
There are scouts who are more impressed with Rosen after last year's performance who didn't have him rated as high the year before.

I very much think Rosen ends up with the Giants for 37 and 108.

Where/When did you see this?
And somehow it will be spun to be a masterful move....
One of Rosen's best skills is play action and that happens to be exactly the skill Shurmur most wants in a QB.
It settles short term QB issue at Giants for low cost
I think Gettlemen get Rosen for 37
I believe the only way they trade him now is for first round pick. Closer to the draft Rosen will cost less and all the teams potentially trading for him know this so the Cardinals are not getting a first-round pick. I suspect Roseanne will be likely traded the day of the draft. If there is someone on the board at 37th at the Cardinals really like see the potential of something happening then. We might even get something back in return.

Only by bw central
If the Giants are serious about Rosen, we should be able to compete with what the Chargers offer. The problem is if the Patriots are serious too. They have accumulated a wealth of picks, they can pretty much trump anything we can offer.
So Chargers are offering a late 3rd and a player Arizona could have signed for nothing. Arizona are clowns if they take anything like this deal.
What makes me think he will do well? His talent!

LA & AZ are talking, with Tyrod Taylor involved along with the Chargers also offering pick #91. Az wants a Rd 1, but if the Chargers give up #60, the deal could move forward. Sort of makes sense, as Taylor could do like he did last year with Mayfield. Having a QB with traits like Murray's allows the offense to make more of a seamless transition from vet to rookie. I still think Mgmt would prefer Q. Williams to Murray, but hey, when have the Cards ever done anything sensible outside of drafting Fitz? Look how their D bellied up after Honey Badger left for Houston in 2018.

They might as well hang onto him for that price.
