1980's film.
Movie about a marginally successful (talent agent?) who is constantly moving his family around Hollywood because it's important to him to have "Hollywood" as the mailing address on his business cards and have a Hollywood phone number.
Redhead teenage daughter, dark headed son who he continually crams into the station wagon to move to the next Hollywood address (I guess he's running out on his bills).
The father is an actor I picture and hear but can't find on the internet.
New York accent, always plays the neurotic, combative New Yorker-type.
Probably hung out with Rob Reiner.
"Hollywood" might be in the title of the movie.
Sounds like this would match, however, this move is from 1998. Unless the OP means the movie takes place in the early 80's.

Gotta see the forest for the trees. If we're going to get into details, it doesn't match at all, because he wanted a Beverly Hills address for the schools, not Hollywood for work.
I have to agree. I don't see the confusion. This is beyond obvious.
But I like the Star Wars answer.
Thanks.
Lol, classic.
You're getting bogged down in 'details' and 'facts'. Start using the right side of your brain.
