Monty Python Holy Grail

Just scanned the thread looking for the movies that defined "cult".... Â
And no mentioned Rocky Horror Picture Show? It was the ultimate cult movie for decades.
The my favotie cukt classic cult movie is
Eraserhead.
A lot of films mentioned here are not cult films. Rocky Horror and Eraserhead surely are. I mentioned these above but El Topo by Jodorowsky is the first midnight movie in history followed by John Waters' Pink Flamingos. They paved the way for Rocky Horror's historic midnight run.
Have pic from it on the wall.
Bill Murray+++
I don't get it.
If Looks Could Kill
The Adventures of Ford Fairlane
Wanderers
Dusk Till Dawn
and it's not yet a cult classic but I really liked the first John Wick
You did what? his house ? his car? and his dog?
That is John Wick
In a delicious way in that particular instance.
By Jodorowsky: El Topo, The Holy Mountain, Santa Sangre
These filmmakers just about defined cult cinema in the US in the 70s.

It’s from The Day the Earth Stood Still. The character on the right is named ‘Klaatu’ - I had assumed this was your namesake!

To me, did a fantastic job of creating a very real, dark, lower Manhattan vibe.
Loved the Lovecraft horror flicks too, Reanimator and Demons.
Being John Malkovich
The Princess Bride
