I am not talking about the ads on the top right of the page. I am talking about multiple times in the middle of quote boxes halfway down a page. Just thought I'd let Eric or the mods know. I am on a Samsung phone if that helps.
Those new ads are less invasive than the ones on the upper right. The ones on the upper right hide text and I can't always seem to be able to close them to see the posts.

Just an FYI...
Also, the ads on the upper right work well on my computer (Chrome, Opera). It is on my mobile that the ads step on the posts a bit.
steps on text at the top of the thread - I'm on Chrome and sometimes Safari
I think it depends on the screen resolution. When there is a lot of space, the ads (these are the ones on the upper right) are not an issue. At lower resolution they invade the posts. Just an educated guess here.

I too have noticed this. The only way to see them is tp change font size which is cumbersome on phone and then the text is too small to read so i just skip the first few posts usually.
Have you looked into getting verified on Brave? Now that their tip function is getting put into place, I'd love to be able to send some your way. There aren't many other sites I'd want to support.
Sorry if you've talked about this in the past and I missed it...

Thanks for asking. Every summer, I run a 2-month "contribution" campaign. It usually starts around the time of training camp.

Yeah, I know, and have given a little in the past (though admittedly not as much as I should).
This would just replace the ad revenue for those of us who use the Brave browser and don't see the ads people are talking about here. My mobile version of the browser just updated to allow tipping and added 20 BAT (about $9) to my account to dole out with tips to site owners. But they need to be verified to claim it.
No big deal if you don't think it's worth it, but it probably would be a good idea to at least check out if you haven't already. https://brave.com/creators/ - ( New Window )
The problem with these ads appearing in the posts Â
Is you don’t always know that you are looking at an ad. It almost looks like the posters are posting the ads, or, like an ad is endorsing a comment.
Eric you might want to look into that, and perhaps think about distinguishing them better visually (e.g. with a different background color and the word “Advertisement” above the ad).
You guys don’t have a sandbox/staging environment to do this testing in?

My test revolves around revenue generation. If they make me a $1 per day, it's not worth it.
I know I'm biased, but if you compare BBI with other sites, the ads are far less intrusive. Just try any of the NYG MSM sites.

Haha. Me too.

Just an FYI...
I will be doing some testing today and tomorrow while things are slower (Easter).

So the feedback really helps.
I guess that's why I got an ad for a Surfer's Cruise inside a quote...because I used the phrase "that surfer guy" on another thread.

Not biased....that's a fact.
