The inquisition of Jammie Lannister who saves him? Bran? Brienne?

The continuation of the Sansa bitchfest 2019.

A king or queen can legitimize a bastard. Remember when Stannis offered to make Jon Snow a Stark?

So, yes, he'd need to be legitimized first, but the title of king or queen floats around for a lot of people in the realm so there could be many people who can legitimize him - maybe as a dying act.

I hope he makes it, one of my favorites.

Semi-related, but it’s a shame how Varys has been relegated to following Tyrion and Davos around, with very little left to contribute. No need to little birds to figure out what the army of the dead is up to.

Much like Littlefinger, I feel like once they passed the source material in the books, the show writers ran out of ideas to keep the character interesting.

I am still curious to see if we find out what the voice in the fire said when his “man parts” were roasted years ago. But I figure he’s history soon.
Don't get me started on Varys/Littlefinger

But I wasn’t expecting Jammie to be the one to tell Cersei’s plans with the golden company etc. he has come full circle now he just needs to kill her. This tells me brienne survives and now that she’s a knight she will update his page in the knights book so people will remember him by his honor and not just being a king slayer.

I could be wrong but I think only knights can update it but not 100% on that
Characters immediately become irrelevant in the North.
bceagle05 : 4/22/2019 11:11 am : link
Littlefinger, Varys, Davos, Stannis, Tyrion - even Dany has been diminished despite her title. It always seems awkward when southern characters are tossed into that setting.

Davos is one of my absolute favorites though. He nailed the "Maybe I will have that drink" line after Tormund told his story about giant's milk. I was cracking up.

The story of being a king slayer is really a heroic one, not a heinous one. I don't know how his page is written, but if it were an honest account of the events that led up to that day Jaime would not shun the King Slayer moniker, he'd wear it proudly.

If the truth were known Ned Stark would be thought less of for immediately judging Jaime and suggesting he take the black as an oath breaker.

But wtf secret plot could there be made that involves fighting the dead? Most likely youre going to die so what plot could come of it? Cersei threatened to kill jamie with the mountain. There are no secret plots here anymore. The secret plot was Euron getting the Golden Company and fighting for Kings Landing against whoever wins. There wont be anymore red wedding type oh shits.

Not being a dick at all. What I mean to say is, given the choice between taking one side vs the other, would Jamie truly choose against Cersei who is his sister, love of his life, and mother of his children?

in any remaining plot surprises is Qyburn.

No one in the entire realm knows more about the dead than Qyburn, his experiments got him kicked out of and banned from the Citadel.

I don't think it's beyond speculation that he has invented some way to manipulate wights and white walkers.

He did bring the Mountain back to life and he's obedient.

Stopping with the major surprises would be a real departure from the DNA of the show. I can't see it going out like that. It's a simpleton take, I know, but I think it's pretty compelling.

As far as secret plots with Cersei, yea I do. I think the surprises will involve Bran and what he can actually do. I could see the Red Priestesses showing up to help bring back the fallen(like Melisandre did with jon snow)

to lure the Night King in with Bran and kill him with dragon fire correct? Isn't that what they were asking Bran about and he didn't know because it's never been attempted?

If so, I'm assuming Dany is going to be waiting with her dragon to take him out when he takes the "bait".....now that she knows the truth about Jon Snow, wouldn't it make sense for her to take Bran out as well so no one knows the truth???

Completely agree regarding the red priestesses and Melisandre. Volantis is the hub of the lord of light religion, have a 1k army...she's on the cast list and said in season 7 she must die in Westeros. She's coming back in a big way.

She's the mother of his children, and at minimum one of them is dead because of her. She threatened to kill him. She is sleeping with others. Jamie's arc has always been toward redemption. And I won't get into the prophecy that is talked about more in the books than the show, but I think he has to turn on her.

Don’t want to veer too far into the theory/possible spoiler realm, but in the book the much discussed prophecy also goes into how the Night King can/will be killed, which would involve a shocking twist related to major characters. Curious to see if the show goes there - getting the feeling they might.

moespree : 4/22/2019 12:43 pm : link
That's deeply unsatisfying to me and anti-climactic. It's been the main tease since literally the first scene of the show (and books). For it to end not even 4 full episodes after they finally breach the wall, with just a simple good defeats evil would be very disappointing.

Though, I suspect this is exactly what is going to happen.

bceagle05 : 4/22/2019 1:08 pm : link
A lot of people theorize we'll see the dead Starks rise in the crypts. The assumption is that the Night King will raise them to join the Army of the Dead. Any chance the dead Starks fight WITH the living instead? I could definitely see that happening, and Bran would be the most likely candidate to control them somehow. That would be mind-blowing.

So we will get the Jon Snow and Lyanna Stark reunion. Awww that will be so sweet to have his mother hold him.

Did Ned bring Lyanna back from Dorne? That would've been a rough journey. Ned's head isn't down there either. I don't think Cat or Robb were sent back to Winterfell - just Rickon of the immediate family members. If there's gonna be shit going down in the crypts, it'd be cool of the Starks - dead and alive - were fighting on the same side.

Rickard (Ned's father) and Brandon (Ned's brother) (both murdered by Aerys - I believe burned alive) and Lyanna are all there - plus more back throughout their lineage. Even all the way back to Bran the Builder (who I believe was the first Stark) is down there.

Ned has a stone down there at least.

I don't hate the theory, but reality is there could be what 100 dead Starks down there AT MOST, you're fighting armies in the hundreds of thousands, adding some dead Starks to your army is a wasted plot line IMO, though it would be cool

You can't be brought back if you are burnt so that leaves Rickard and Brandon. Ned was just bones I believe that was given to them including the head. Having Lyanna come alive to fight Jon Snow would be completely messed up.

IMO they will win the battle with the white walkers and suffer heavy losses but the Night King will almost certainly not be defeated.

The Jon Snow / Dany army will need reinforcements so whether that is Grey Worm or Messandei or someone from across the Narrow Sea or the Iron Islands helping them win and reinforcing them. I think all are in play there. Maybe even the Golden Company changing sides.

If prior theatrical battles play out as they have before we will have to see some kind of insane one in episode 6 or 7 that almost definitely has to involve whats left of the North plus the reinforcements I've alluded to v. Cersei v. the Night King. Lots of dragon fighting. I'd expect at least 2 if not all of the dragons to die in this battle.

I'd imagine a knight decked out in Valyrian plate armor and sword would be pretty damn formidable?

Also, a few cannon with grapeshot or chains would devastate that undead army. Or, at least shred them up enough for the foot soldiers and cavalry to make short work of the scattered remnants.

Lots of humor in this episode. I think it's going to be tough to find moving forward. The culling starts next week.
RE: Anyone else ever wonder why don't they have Valyrian steel armor?

I'd imagine a knight decked out in Valyrian plate armor and sword would be pretty damn formidable?

Also, a few cannon with grapeshot or chains would devastate that undead army. Or, at least shred them up enough for the foot soldiers and cavalry to make short work of the scattered remnants.

Valerian steel is a rare metal. There are only a handful of valerian steel swords, let alone a suit of armor.

And, I don't think gun powder has been introduced to Westeros yet

Basically concrete / stone coffins? How’s a bag a bones gonna push their way out of that?
