Now this would be fun!

And I know I might be in a minority group of one but I think Murray is going to be a star. And I also believe as Ali used to say, “his hand can’t hit what his mind can’t see.”

I LOVE Murray

But not sure if I love him enough to lose our top 3 picks. We have too many other needs.
Just 2 more years
lecky : 4/21/2019 10:35 am : link
at least, of being a top 10 draft team. And another 2 years of our season being over in October. Not a really big fan of Eli lately but would rather go with him for the next 2 years with an adequate defense. I am confident we will score with Barkley and a much improved O-Line.
Would Murray sit for a year behind Eli
larryflower37 : 4/21/2019 10:36 am : link
And only run a special package of plays?
It would give him time to get in an NFL weight training and nutrition program.

Or would he jump to baseball?

In Madden and ESPN highlights because their fun.

I believe this is the complete thought process of many bbiers when evaluating qb.

Have you watched him? He is a fantastic passer of the football. Rated the best thrower in the class by every account I have seen. The (insane) running ability is just icing.

come on man!!!! it's what the eyes can't see. your 1st boxing lesson 101....
I'd do that deal. Looking at last year's drafted qb's, I'd rate him a
Ira : 4/21/2019 11:18 am : link
half step below Mayfield and a step up above Darnold. He'd accurate with a strong arm. He can throw on the move and is good at going through progressions. And he'll be the best running qb in the league.

While this may be true for some, it’s not me.

I know it’s hard to fathom (I was surprised myself), but his arm is amazing. I don’t even know how he does it at his size, but he can make any and every throw needed.

His potential is faster, more talented Russel Wilson. He would be an excellent pick - the guy is much more than just a scrambling highlight video

The kid can ball. Wheels like Saquon. Strong arm. RPO all day long.

I would like him for Shurmur's offense but he isn't exactly Wilson, whom just eyeballing has a more durable sparkplug build.

Murray was an inch shorter and actually 3 pounds heavier than Wilson at their respective combines ... Not arguing, just passing along the info.

Murray and Saquon in the same backfield would be incredible - a nightmare for defensive coordinators every week

He was about a half inch shorter. Not giving you a hard time, just pointing out the body type is essentially the same.

There was a post here that said Murray was hit about 7 times all year last year. That is incredible. The guy is an unbelievable athlete. But he’s a thrower first. He’s the best player in the draft, and I would do anything in my power to get him. The Giants will not because he does not fit their height and weight requirement. So whatever.

In any event, I don’t believe for one second that the Cards will pass on him. This is designed to get teams to jack up their offers for Rosen.

I was using the numbers on the nfl.com combine site in a quick search ... even better. His height doesn’t concern me whatsoever - and he is an incredible athlete that a lot of people don’t realize is actually as good a passer and a runner - which is scary. He’s going #1, as he should. If AZ did the unthinkable, Giants need to move up with Jets and secure his services.
BCD, sorry about that, you’re right

Ali said, “his hand can’t hit what his eyes can’t see.”

But I do think it applies to Murray. Other than size, Murray has all the tools.
Rocket arm, fast and elusive, quick on his feet and a winner. Plus, can you imagine Murray and Barkley on the RPO?

IMO they WON"T"score enough" with just an "adequate" OLINE and a QB that only has an "adequate" OL.

Other teams have profesional players too. Other teams have good ot great defenses. Barkley is only human after all. He can;t hit open holes enough vs a good defenses if OLINE is only "adequate" because other teams aren't stupid.

They'll stack the box.

IMO they WON"T"score enough." The OLINE is not "adequate" enough unless they further draft andthe draft hits.

They'll stack the box. **Right now 40% of the Giants OLINE is "inadequate." That's not enough -- yet.

We scored pretty well at the end of last year. Even without Beckham. I am not saying Barkley will get 4 touchdowns a game but he gets you a few first downs and gets you in position to score.
