We all know the bad news already. No one's gonna feel bad for us, so... just gotta keep finding ways and hope some reinforcements start getting back before we run out of replacements.
Thairo Estrada was the corresponding move for Judge's transfer to the IL.
Pax was incredible last time out. Let's see if it carries over.
Happy Easter, boys.
Let's go, Yanks.
Boone is not the smartest tool in the shed. He should never ever chance squandering a game with this line up.
If someone had told you this 1 month ago?
Let's win this.
he didn't move the runner
6-6
Now pound this one in.
Anyway, Romine ties it. Wonder if Chapman comes in?
too much drama
And no matter how many times you say, you’ll still be wrong.
You're a fucking idiot.
Too bad he hardly plays and has NEVER played a full MLB season. Ever.
Sanchez is a negative force who makes this team worse. He is always hurt, he is an awful defensive catcher who leads the league in passed balls per game played, who strikes out consistently in key situations, and whose attitude is one of laziness and indifference. How many times can he whiff on simply catching a pitch, then not even chase after the ball before you guys stop defending him?
Willful blindness. He will never reach his supposed potential. He's already on the down slope of his career.
Uhh no, no he's not. I can't believe a Yankee fan actually thinks that's true.

when they're not sleep walking....
It could've been a back breaker and shitty way to fly west, instead we get a toughed out W from this depleted lineup. I'll take any wins we can get from this bunch right now.
Maybe the warm California sun will be what Happ needs to get going. Big start for him tomorrow night, and he needs to get right asap. We're gonna need our pitching staff big time to ride out all these injuries.

Yup. Rays lost. Yanks are 2.5 games out of the division lead on April 21. Long way to go!
The original plan of Severino, Paxton, Tanaka, CC, Happ, German, Loisiga and a bullpen with Betances would have been and may still be; a very formidable team no matter the hitters
Wonder if that ever happened to this extent?

Who would have seen the SPs would be doing their job well and the BP would be struggling.
It seems Kahnle is getting straightened out.
Holder is off and Green is awful. But Coney saw what he is doing wrong - flying open at release. Should be easy to correct.
Ottavino has been meh, sometimes brilliant, sometimes pedestrian.
Britton is getting better.
Chapman is still Chapman.
Harvey has been a pleasant surprise and Cessa has been mostly effective.
I think they will get sorted out soon.
Easily one of the worst fanbases in sports and I am a Yankees fan saying that. I guess cause it is so spoiled. The Red Sox fanbase is also toxic but they don't seem to hate their players like Yankees fans do.
I almost hate NC State athletics because of the amount of dipshits that root for them.
When the game was tied yesterday at 5, even in this thread, you had a brainiac say "This team fucking blows".
Apart from that poster consistently blowing, every fucking Arpil, we have posters claiming the sky is falling and that the manager should be fired.
Christ, we are .500 with a full lineup on the DL!!
only 2.5 back of Tampa which is amazing.

It was an excellent, gritty win.
Nothing is set in stone, but I'd still be shocked if the Yanks-Sox weren't 1-2 in the division at the end of the year. April generally doesn't mean a whole lot for almost every team in MLB. Occasionally you'll get a team that will go on a tear and hope to hold on over the Summer, but even then, those guys usually fall.
I would suggest that Green develop another secondary pitch,
because his slider really does suck. I've said it before
this year, that is why he is more hitable nowadays.
It started last season, when you slider is mostly
non-competitive, time to develop another secondary pitch!
Off to the Big A, as they use to call it.
Interesting road trip coming up.
