Source: If the #AZCardinals pass on Kyler Murray, the #Giants could potentially move up in the #NFLDraft. Their trade partner? The #Jets.
Giants have 12 picks & would want to move ahead of the #Raiders to draft Murray. Jets want multiple picks.
Kind of a random one. Dyer is mostly a soccer guy, but he's a legitimate reporter. This could easily be coming from the Jets side of things, since I think he's more plugged in there.
This. The Jets are a petty organization. They will ask for some price tag that is way out of bounds and the Giants will (rightly) pass. And they will end up trading that pick for less than the Giants would logically offer.
Honestly, if there is a deal to be had, I would think it will be with the Niners instead just to avoid all that.
But the Jets have all but screamed they want to trade down. I think they trade with the Falcons and Atlanta takes Oliver.
You may have discussed this, but giving your most educated guess, who do you see as the next Giant QB after Eli?
Thanks for the info you have been psssing on.
Nope, can't see it.
Nope, can't see it.
Our second probably and/or combo with next years picks.
We should keep tallies over all of these BS tweets and give an award to the person with the most incorrect tweets.
Oh, well...
Keep Calm and carry on.
so you think the Jets care what the Giants are doing in the same stadium and as a result, would actually do something stupid on draft day so they dont have to "watch Saquon and a mobile QB" play for a non-divisional team?
Typical fan...

Yes, it's always been that way.
Nope, can't see it.
Well.... IF Murray is the real deal and the potential to be the next Eli for another 15 years, then why wouldnt we make that trade? Do we need to revisit what we gave up for Eli?

Actually, yes. I do think they care.
jt- This may be or not be draft related, but how and when do your sources believe the Giants will acquire Eli’s successor? Thanks.

swap 3 and 6, plus give up 37 and 95?

IF?
First leg injury he becomes a smurf in a forest.

Yes, it's always been that way.
Last year, NYJ admitted they called CLE re #1 pick and IND re #3 pick, but never called NYG re the #2. It’s real.
Weren’t the scouts all sent home prior to this weekend? If Murray is available, who knows?
Anything else is most likely speculation. I wouldn't trust any rumor/source on the internet this year.
Better yet, is if no QB is picked and Eli kills it this year. DG than extends Eli at $35M/yr.

I said it once, I'll say it again... imagine the BBI meltdown if they drafted Jones over Murray.

Eli kills it this year? hahahha like what are the chances of that? >1%
Folks are deluding themselves.
Make it happen Getty. Go for the homerun

Yes, it's always been that way.
And will always continue to be.
Agreed. The price would also be astronomical in terms of picks. How would we fix the defense?
I don't want Daniel Jones at all. He keeps getting compared to Ryan Tannehill....pass.

That doesn't PROVE anything.
I remember reading early on before last year's draft that the Jets were convinced the Giants were NOT going to take a QB. So they had no reason to talk to the Giants after they couldn't reach a deal with Cleve. for the #1 overall.
The Jets obviously want to trade out of the #3 spot this year. If the Giants offer the best deal the Jets will do what's best for the Jets and make the trade.
One can only hope.
As for the Giants, the asshats could be right or wrong on the picks. We’ll find out in about 79-80 hours. But to loosely quote Nas, “you can hate me [Hoping for Haskins] now, but I won’t stop [Hoping for Haskins] now”. And it won’t matter how many times people take a sledgehammer to a report of Murray or Haskins to the Giants.
Have trading up from 6 been “explored” at all
I feel like Jets/Giants are nice partners, Jets want more picks and can still land Oliver/Burns at 6 ... if the price wasn’t too steal obviously
Four-fifths of the 2018 Sooner offensive line could probably make the NYG roster. Brown and possibly Anderson could play important roles at other positions. If the Giants have spent hours poring over every Oklahoma pass play, are they primarily watching Murray move around in the pocket, or is the focus on whether Cody Ford and Bobby Evans can handle speed rushers, without Murray's feet to keep defenders honest and bail the tackles out when they whiff? Are the scouts charting Murray's accuracy, or measuring Brown's catch radius? Are they determining whether Murray hangs tough against a blitz, or checking Anderson's pass-protection skills?
Imagine the field day the football press would have! The reaction at BBI would be puny in comparison.

If Murray was over 6 feet tall, he’d be touted as the best QB to come out in years
He is a pocket passer first, with elite arm talent, who also happens to be capable of scrambling for a 50+ yard TD
He’s almost perfect ... almost

Judging by the price they paid to move up last year - from 6 to 3 also - you’d have to guess they’d be asking for a lot. The fact that it would be the Giants looking to move up would only increase the price. I imagine it would take 6 and 17 to move up to 3, though maybe we could get other picks back in return as well.
Still, I think Murray goes 1, so this is all moot.
