Yes, trades have been made prior but it is usually much earlier. What is the point in trading now unkess you are guaranteed to get your guy? At this stage in the game there are many trades agreed to in principle if players are available or not available.
RE: RE: nfl probably told teams not to announce anything until on the clock Â
The QB class has been called weak by everyone. I think the lack of trades is proof that this QB class weak and media hyped. I wouldn't be surprised if AZ really does not want to draft Murray, but no one wants to trade up to get him, so they are stuck.
this draft vs all others, the number of broadcasting partners that are carrying the draft. This draft is on FOX, ABC, ESPN, NFLN etc.. This is going to be crazy and the NFL would want suspense as much as they can get. PLUS, trades that are announced closer to the draft (say day before or day of) would have more drawing power..

I think its more a case of the NFL getting money from more media outlets than ever and without the ratings, some might back out in future years.
I think that’s absolutely the case with Rosen. But it is odd to not see any trades at all. It tells me teams don’t see huge value in this year’s QB’s. That’s typically what drives the big trades. Depending on how things go in the early part of the first round you may see some jockeying to move up a few spots to get a certain QB, kind of like we saw the Chiefs do with Mahomes a few years ago, but no big trades like the Jets one last year.
But we’ve seen team trade before the draft almost every year. I just found it odd.

Third channel broadcasting on major public network. Probably want to add more drama. A bunch of stuff is probably already queued up between teams.
That releases ths Jets....and dominos start falling
