I have a friend who is close friends with someone back in Mass area that works with a son of someone in the Patriots Organization. The son said the Pats have been trying to acquire a VET WR this offseason and are now trying to get AJ Green from the Bengals.
My friend is a big Pats fan and is friends with people in and around the Pats organization. Again, no idea how true but we do all know the Pats have been trying to acquire a WR (shepard was one).
That is what I was just told. PLus, DT is no guarantee on being with the team. He looked shot in Houston and then the injury..
No kidding. The funny thing is, they do better with late round guys and trades than guys they draft. The WR's they have drafted (1-4 rds) have not done that well at all.

as long as Brady’ Brady, they can plug you or I in and they’d be productive.

Yep source I know has told me the same thing. Basically they put feelers out on him. I live in NE also. I've same on DT info on DT
It’s in line with them acquiring Cooks and Gordon. And flies into the oft treated notion that the Pats don’t need high end WR talent
This. Even as beat up as he was teams had to account for him.
