Obviously the worry here is that Clint isn't in the lineup after tweaking his ankle last night.
He did finish the game after he was hurt and I'm sure this decision was against his will. Hopefully we're just being cautious here.
Sanchez began his rehab assignment yesterday - should be activated tomorrow and be back behind the dish.
My guess is that Boone is going to want to avoid going to Otto, Holder, and Chappy tonight. So, Britton is probably going to be our leverage guy tonight. I assume he'll close if need be, or come in an inning or two earlier if it's a tight spot and we need to get through an inning.
Let's go, Yanks.
I'll be happier when I don't have to watch Tyler Wade get 3-4 AB's a night anymore.
Someone will have to step up and be the hero again tonight.
Recently it's been Tauchman, Urshela... maybe tonight is Mike Ford's night.
Any word on Taylor and Morrison?
Moved to bullpen after the 14 inning game last night
Well it was pretty ugly for a while there last night. They went I believe it was 6 or 7 innings without a hit. I can't imagine having a pitcher bat could make it much worse than that. Hell, at least they could probably lay down a bunt. Lol.
They hung in there though and toughed out another W. I'll take it and another W any way they can get one tonight too.
Just keep getting them and cross another day off the calendar while getting us closer to guys returning.
Actually given the position players seems fair - why let the other team have 9 pro hitters when we're struggling to find 9 ourselves?
Quote:
starting Friday we don't even get a DH for a week! Just when you though it couldn't get uglier

You're right - hadn't thought of it, but right now we are better off with no DH!
1-0.
Deja Vu. :)
Gleyber cold as ice. He'll come around.
Gleyber looks lost at the plate. Just doesn’t look like he is reading the ball well at all. Hope he gets it going soon, this lineup needs him desperately.

Wade does not impress me I am sorry he’s overrated in my opinion don’t get the hype with him. Yankees should call up Miller who they signed yesterday and send Wade. down he does every thing wade does and is a better hitter
I love the way he’s pitching right now.
Very impressive first pair of AB’s for Estrada as well.
Unfortunately I don’t think he will ever be more than what he is, perfect example of a AAAA player.
He's been fantastic again. Great stuff and making it look effortless.
I think the experience he got last year was huge. He knows he belongs and has the stuff to get big league hitters out. Now he looks like he has the makeup, know how and approach to go with the fantastic stuff.
Bummer he got shot last season. Probably could have helped.
Holy fuck, this team is dealing with enough adversity than to have to deal with a reliever choking away a 7-1 lead.
Literally inexplicable.
Literally inexplicable.
Its the same shit Boone pulled against Boston in the playoffs. Just a complete lack of feel for the game.
Didnt Britton pitch the last two games?
