As some of you may know, I have a friend of a friend who works as an attorney, and also a smalltime NFL agent who has a very small client base with very few recognizable names in his spare time.
He gave me a little information that he heard regarding some of the top prospects. This is just information he’s heard; not his personal opinions. I have a no idea how accurate this is. Some of it is somewhat redundant, so if this is not received well, I will gladly delete.
Nick Bosa-the real deal. Some minor concerns about staying healthy.
Quinnen Williams-best all around player in the draft. Most teams feel this way. Only negative is that he can sometimes be overwhelmed by double teams, and only 1 year of experience at the college level.
Josh Allen-super productive in the SEC. Will have to develop a power rush move. Can rely too much on speed at times, and will not run around NFL OT’s. People will expect Kahlil Mack, and he is not that type of player. Solid prospect.
Ed Oliver-very talented. Underrated by the media. Very strange guy which may hurt him. Will go higher than many anticipate.
Rashan Gary-a bit underrated, but the shoulder injury is going to hurt him. He will fall.
Devin White-can fly. Stud. Thumper. Think Bobby Wagner. See ball, get ball.
Christian Wilkins-very down on him. Does a lot of things well, but nothing spectacular. Will not be a pro bowl caliber player, but smart, heady guy who can start right away with his intelligence.
Will Grier-career back up. Very streaky/inconsistent.
Greedy Williams-very talented. Can fly. Afraid of contact. Problems with motivation/focus. Up and down tape.
Montez Sweat-the enlarged heart will hurt his status on some team boards. Similar to Maurice Hearst last year, but not as severe. No family history. Can be managed.
DK Metcalf-good player, but the comparisons to Julio Jones are way off.
Lonnie Johnson and Darnell Savage-will go much higher than people expect. Not getting enough attention.
He has no idea who will go #1, or with the Giants plan is.
Crazy year, because it is a deep draft, and everyone has been very quiet about their plans.
Again, if this is too redundant, or isn’t received well, I will gladly delete.
Will Grier-mature, and has been through a lot. Already turned 24 years old.
He says that Christian Wilkins is a homosexual athlete like Michael Sam. He has yet to come out, but his draft stock is falling because he's gay. Here's video of Christian Wilkins sexually assaulting an Ohio player during a game:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KUDgJJuyXHY
Montez Sweat was kicked out of MSU for smoking weed. A lot of teams have questions on his draft stock since a lot of recent players have trouble stopping their drug use (Josh Gordon and Randy Gregory come to mind).
Ed Oliver has anger issues. Some question if he will be a problem to coach because of his tendency to have anger flare ups.
Jeffery Simmons is considered one of the best players in this draft class. He tore his ACL at the end of the season. That will ruin his draft stock. To make things worse he also has massive character issues. I won't link the video but several years ago he was caught on video brutally punching a girl repeatedly in the face. The Cowboys can't wait to draft him.
Some people are making T.J. Hockenson out to be the next TE great. O.J. Howard was a higher rated prospect coming out of college. He was selected 19th overall. Since this is the first year that Gronk is retired obviously the next white prospect needs to be called the next Gronk. He's not complaining.

He’s good but thre speed/power combo is lacking. He’s too damn smooth to be a bust but I just don’t see him as a beast. Bosa/ QW seem trremendous but I don’t think Allen is quite that level.
Give it a rest.
Please.

He is a football player with excellent character. Is six a little high for him? Depends on whose left. But I think as a 3-4 versatile linemen he will be better than Gary all around and a high pressure guy just maybe not a Super High sack guy.
I still probably take Allen over him but will see what happens.
Penn State players raved about Josh Allen. Josh is an outstanding pass rusher and he has a very high ceiling. I think Allen will be an exceptional NFL player.
I'd be more concerned with injuries than I guess teams are.
That you felt the need to qualify it with an apology is a testament to some of the knuckleheads here
Seriously really good info. Also reinforces that just like taking any of the quarterbacks, there are risks involved with some of the elite defenders at the top of the draft
Apple doesn't have nearly the natural man coverage ability that Greedy has.

bpa must always be tempered with a needs analysis.
To me, Carter and Allen are the same player.
We've gotten to the point where our asshats are dog walkers. Good God.

Wouldn't he be the heir to Ogletree and eventually, his contract?
Productive when he plays and often injured.
You can guess the reason why

Because their dad was the same way?

may make the drafting of Josh Allen highly unlikely.

I view Ogletree as strictly inside. Allen and Carter as edge players.
He was a first round pick that only lasted three years in the league.
What would be interesting is if he has had a Marv Marinovich impact on the sons. Maybe as their supplier!

Josh Allen is a MUCH better player then Lorenzo Carter is. It's a good thing they are similar. You want ERs who can rush the passer and drop into coverage.
That's like saying you wouldn't draft Tuck, because of Strahan. There are two ERs on the field at all times. Why not have two guys who are very versatile?

Great analogy (sarcasm on)! Vast difference between a 3rd rd pick and the 6th pick in the draft. Not prudent to double uo when there are major needs to fill and options to fill them.
