GBN 7-Round Mock Draft for the New York Giants...

M.S. : 4/24/2019 6:13 am
...not sure you'll love this one.

Also, here is url to Colin Lindsay's thoughts on various directions the Giants may go in:

Highly doubt Gary is still in play at 6

with the bum shoulder.
It's nice to read that Colin has no idea what direction the Giants are

going on Thursday night. That's a huge change from years past.

Off of all I have read on here and elsewhere, this is the first time in like forever, where I have ZERO idea where we’re going this first round
Like The C In Round 2

That would help alot.
sure hope not

two offensive players in the first three picks? and I am OK with Jones at 17.

Really don't like the first pick. Seems like a Reese pick, potential over performance.
Charles Davis just released his final mock
ZogZerg : 4/24/2019 6:52 am : link
He still thinks Giants go Gary at 6, even with the shoulder concerns.

He then has Giants land Jonah at 17.

This mock sucks

Guillemette's mock is dated April 20th.
Big Blue Blogger : 4/24/2019 7:15 am : link
Hasn't there been additional information about Gary's shoulder since then?

The positions make sense, though I don't really want a QB at 17. The picks? Meh.
Haha
UConn4523 : 4/24/2019 7:18 am : link
taking an injured player based on potential isn’t a Gettleman pick. So much wrong with that analysis.
Injury

Thought DG hates taking injured players?
Good value
Jay in Toronto : 4/24/2019 7:25 am : link
At 37 and 95.

Gary too risky, unless injury is fixable and also explains underperformance at UM
Really disappointing

No ROT!!!!!!

This team will not improve with Chad Wheeler as ROT

Jints need two corners not one. And they need two quality corners not one mediocre one.

Jints can do better than Gary

Please just say no to Jones at Qb

There is not one difference maker in all of the picks made in this particular mock

Very disappointing

I'm one of the few who would love the Gary pick, but I agree, this team isn't moving forward without some sort of improvement at right tackle. They cannot go into Dallas on opening night with Wheeler as the starting right tackle again, unless he's shown massive improvement in the off-season.
I love Gary as a player
dep026 : 4/24/2019 7:38 am : link
But if his shoulder is still hurting, you can’t take him at 6. At 17, I would.

Good catch. This mock is dated before the labrum tear news came out. Drafting a guy that will need offseason surgery next season would be stupid.

Basically both of his first round picks would have little impact this season. Not good.

Great...

Let’s take a player with a bad shoulder and another player who throws like he’s got a bad shoulder.

first three picks are not realistic. I'd be stunned if we took Gary at #6 with his shoulder tear. I also don't think we'll take him at #17.
I hope all the critics who never watched Michigan play
dep026 : 4/24/2019 9:31 am : link
can understand why prodcution was down. Again, I am not for Hary now at 6 whatsoever since I know what the injury did. But at 17 he becomes intriguing. At 36, he is a no fucking brainer.
Gary is an injury risk. Rather go Oliver
Bill L : 4/24/2019 9:34 am : link
Don't want Jones at all. No way Bradbury is available in the second round.

You know Oliver was hurt this year too, right?
is was hurt the same as is hurt

?
thanks, Colin, M.S.
ColHowPepper : 4/24/2019 9:48 am : link
to the above I'd only add that coming out of first five picks with only one guy on D trenches/LBs is disappointing, but BPA trumps all, right.
And Gary is that guy?
They lost me at round 1, pick 6.
Giant John : 4/24/2019 10:21 am : link
Apparent they are not tuned in to what the Giants will be doing.
I would be shocked
Jan in DC : 4/24/2019 11:24 am : link
if Bradbury is there at 37. I think he'll go late in round 1.
That is beyond awful.
