Local morning radio hosts here in DC (Sports Junkies) eluded to a text they received during their show this morning that they couldn't speak about. They said it's big news for the Skins.
I'm wondering if they may be trading with the Jets.
If the trade includes the 'skins #1 next year, it could be very valuable
Yes it could, if the Giants could get the 15th pick this year and the Skins 1st next year plus a 3rd this year I would trade down from 6 for that. That pick in 2020 could be a top 10 choice especially if Haskins is the starter for most of the year because there will be growing pains.

Was really hoping that the Skins were going to pick Jones in front of us....but with the rumor of Haskins, it might be a long shot now. Not sure who else would come up in front of us and take Jones, so it may seem like he will be there at 17
Who says Arizona's evaluation is correct? Seems like the new coach has convinced the franchise he can win with Murray. Let's keep in mind, this guy had a losing college record, not exactly a glowing endorsement for the NFL. My guess is Kliffy is a college O coordinator in three years.
Are they just trying to get the Giants to trade with Jets to move up and take Haskins?
Or, do they really want Haskins?
It sounds like they may really want Haskins.
Maybe Redskins trade picks and player(s) to Jets to move up?
It doesn't sound like Tampa wants to move back.

If the Giants want a QB, and the guy they want is there at 5, they will almost certainly swap picks with TB to foreclose the possibility that a team leaps them to get the QB. TB would do that too, because they’ll still get the guy they want anyway. TB probably does not want to move back to 15 or so, because it will cost them Allen or White.
If the Giants want Haskins, I truly believe they will have to trade up to get him. This nonsense about him slipping was just that. I’m not sure if they can swing a deal with the Niners or Jets to make it happen, but we’ll see. The Raiders are another risk, because if they want a QB, they’ll likely move up to 2. It’s a deal the Niners should do, as moving back to 4 would get them extra picks and still allow them to draft Bosa or Quinnen.
the clearly prevailing view among Skins' fans is that, if the team does trade up for Haskins, it's a Snyder-driven move based on marketing. With the added touch that Snyder's son is friendly with Haskins from high school.
Some fans would like Haskins at 15; many do not want him at all. Virtually nobody there wants the trade up or believes that a trade-up decision would be based on the evaluation of Haskins by the team's scouts.
Also a significant segment who think/hope it's all a smokescreen.
Not a basis for concluding that Haskins is a desired commodity around the league, generally.
At this point that is a weak argument that has been beat to death. New Coach bringing in a new O-system and has had big old woody for Murray since before he was selected to be the Cards head coach. He thinks Murray is the perfect fit for his O.
think Rosen to the Redskins makes a lot of sense given the state of their QB situation and need to find someone to play immediately.
It does but I am hoping that they trade up into the top 5 to get Haskins so that Allen or Williams fall to the Giants. They would also likely have to give up their 2020 pick in a very strong QB draft. I would rather them get Haskins than Fromm, Tua, or Herbert.

I would jump all over that trade.
my thoughts exactly ... on top of the fact i want nothing to do with QB at 6 ... if the redskins can overpay for a qb on top of it - win/win
Because they have a new coach who is in love with Murray. Pretty simple.
Maybe because the new coach has a faster more athletic Russel Wilson available to him in this draft and wants his guy?
It doesnt have to be "Wanting to get rid of him" - otherwise they would've just dumped him for a mid rounder by now
yeah, first to the Giants at 6 ... so the Giants can take Q or Josh Allen

Think things through, why would they hire a coach that loves and schemes for Murray.

Where have you been the past two months? This has been covered a zillion times.
