was talking on his podcast that Hockenson might be the surprise pick by the Raiders at 4, and Oliver would go to the Jets at 3 (or whoever trades with them).
That would leave a scenario that both Williams and Allen are there for the Giants at 6.
Murray, Bosa, Oliver, Hockenson, White, and the Giants are sitting there can't believing their luck.

I’ll believe it when I see it that the Jets pass up Quinnen for Oliver.
Yeah, basic math. We sit at 6 and there are 3 premium defensive Â
players we supposedly like meaning we need 3 non-premium defensive guys to go in the top 5. Murray sounds like 1. Who are the other 2? I agree that Haskins, possibly Lock, Oliver, and White could go. Maybe even a guy like Jonah Williams since Oakland needs to fix their OL but that can happen later in the first.

That would be ridiculous and also leave us with quite the choice. Honestly I think they would take Q there.
Best scenario but alot has to work out... would be Allen and then Buckner via trade or Allen and then Wilkins at 17.
seeing people say this, but why are they saying this? Because of the Jets/Oliver rumors?
I think because there's this idea that some team or teams is going to trade up to draft a QB. If Murray, Haskins or Lock or Jones, Williams and Bosa go in the top 5, then it's a matter of who the fifth guy will be. if it's Oliver, then Allen falls to #6.
It's not that farfetched. I suspect it's about 30% chance of that happening.

Perhaps they see too much synergy between their own Williams and him. Oliver would provide a bit of different dynamic.
Any scenario happening that allows Quinnen Williams to get to 6 Â
Regarding Raiders, do you guys REALLY see Mayock doing something stupid? I don't.
To me, Hockenson at 4 is far more believable than the Lock/Jones rumors at 4 imo. He's a guy that everyone seems to love and I could see both Gruden and Mayock agreeing on him vs say Jones/Lock. A lot of Raiders fans on twitter think this is the "surprise pick" Rapoport talked about fwiw. He'd be a big help both as a pass catcher and blocker.
Regarding Raiders, do you guys REALLY see Mayock doing something stupid? I don't.
I'd be wary on how you perceive Mayock's role as the General Manager. I've heard he was hired to basically provide scouting reports to Chucky for him to decide on personnel. Hence the interviews were for guys who excelled in scouting / not decision making. Remember that was the one position that Reese had a reasonable shot at. Also why they have gone out of their way in keeping the other scouts out of the building the past week and a half.
RE: I've got this feeling that the Cardinals are messing with everyone Â
and they take Bosa #1. That triggers a defense run that leaves us with a second tier defender.
So they are Farva in Super Troopers when he puts the bar of soap in the rookie's coffee? What is the point of messing with the NFL? "AH, I GOT YOU GOOD, FUCKER!"
the #3 pick looking more and more like it won't be a consensus Top 3 defender - whether through trade (Redskins heavily rumored) or through a preference for Oliver (which a few plugged in guys have stated he's Greg Williams' guy). The other factor being that the Bucs having tunnel vision on White.
I'm with Sy'56 on Hockensen... He's a nice two-way TE, but a top 10 guy? Really?
I wouldn't do it but he's a bit of a throwback player which we know Gruden loves. Miller was a huge reach last year for them so it's not hard for me to see it happening, especially if Gruden overrules Mayock.
(1) Haskins has to go #3 to someone trading with the Jets.
(2) Assuming #1, the Raiders take Bosa.
(3) TB takes White instead of Allen.
That is a lot that has to happen. It will cost a lot to move up to #3, although if that happens, the Raiders are unlikely to take Allen instead of Bosa. But TB could easily take Allen instead of White.
My guess: Oliver, Wilkins, or trade down in that order.
I can't imagine teams would be stupid enough to let Quinnen William slide to #6.
We have the Jets and Raiders ahead of us. Anything is possible. And if the rumors are true about the Redskins wanting to get into the top 5, even more history of stupid.
I'll believe it when it happens. The Top 3 position players are Bosa, QWill, and Allen. Even if two QB's go before 6(questionable theory imo to begin with) who is going to fuck up and pass on one of those three?
Don't hold your breath fellas, it's a loooongshot.
I can't imagine teams would be stupid enough to let Quinnen William slide to #6.
this is exactly what was said about Leonard Williams 4 years ago ... "best player in draft", "top 3 lock", etc.
I will never underestimate the stupidity of the Jets/Raiders ... Oliver/Hockenson isn't that far fetched ... if the Giants come away with Allen or Williams we should be dancing in the streets.
My pure joy back flip scenario is one of these two dudes at #6, another edge rush or OT at #17, and Rosen at #37 plus maybe a future pick.
Back flips
My dream draft would be Allen at 6, Devin Bush at 17, Rock Ya Sin in the 2nd, and a trade for Rosen...back flip city lol
Ya Sin or Risner for me and this is a dream come true
I have started to sour on Rock ya sin for the mean reason being that he tested pretty badly and terms Mobility. Reznor would be good, or even Bobby Evans in the fourth, or even tytus Howard with our 37th pick.

And yet the Jets, with a fairly well stocked DL at the time, took Leonard Williams. I don't see them passing on the top DL talent this time either unless they trade out.

Is there are more blue chip talents or even if there is only the 3 defensive blue chippers (Allen, Williams and Bosa) the giants might have one of those LTs rated as blue chips as well. I’d be ok with either the elite LT or D player there at 6. I’d prefer D there but a big time LT would solidify the OL for years to come.
There might be more than 3 blue chip defensive guys for all we know.

That would be great news for NYG

DJ has him rated as his #4 overall prospect.
He spent a lot of time with Mayock.
Raiders can't afford to trade down and assume that he'll still be there.

Imagine if Q Williams is there at #6. It's not that crazy - the following seems very possible to me:
Cards: Murray
49ers: Bosa
Jets: Oliver (or trade down to someone who takes a QB)
Raiders: Metcalf (or some other stupid pick)
TB: White

Sorry - I didn't read the posts above mine before posting.
Still think the Raiders do something idiotic.
Yes. They are still the Raiders, Mark Davis is still the owner and Chucky is still the coach.

If you believe hitdog (in the past its been quite foolish not to) then that could mean the Giants go Haskins at 6.

Fuck.

Wow, you found him in a real suit and not a jumpsuit?

He kind of looks like he could be Gruden’s father.

2 out of the following 3 need to happen - None are crazy
Jets trade out for someone to take Haskins
Jets/Raiders take Oliver
Bucs take White
Conversely, it could go the other direction rather quickly:
Cardinals pass on Murray and take one of the big three defenders.
QW isnt the best player in the draft - Bosa is.
Then it appears QW & Allen are in that next row with other equally talented players. IMO. Allen has his own buyer beware stuff.

equally psyched with Devin White.

Do the Giants have another 2nd round pick it will take, at minimum, to acquire Rosen?

They could go Oliver , Allen or trade down too...
This is why i want a trade up to 3 ... Allen and the Giants is a perfect match, although I don’t think he’s quite as good as Mack
How do you see the draft falling so here's there at 6?
Seriously, what human would think that haircut looks decent? That's worse than Trump's hair
There might be more than 3 blue chip defensive guys for all we know.
