NFT: ManUnited v ManCity - 3 EST...

bw in dc : 4/24/2019 2:45 pm
Huge match here.

ManUnited fighting for a top four spot for Champions League and City trying to leap back over Liverpool.
I would say ...
BronxBob : 4/24/2019 2:46 pm : link
... that City might miss De Bruyne ... but they are so deep. Should be great fun!
Never thought I would say this, but

That was a crush. But Everton has been very, very good at home this year against the top teams...

Agreed. They also beat Chelsea and Arsenal at home IIRC.
I see some controversial call going against Man U
Dave in Buffalo : 4/24/2019 4:01 pm : link
leading to that elusive goal for City. Controversy seems to follow City and they seem to always get the call. E.g. Kompany's clearly illegal tackle on Salah. Guy goes in off the ground with his spikes up and no red card. If not for VAR City would still be in the Champions League.
Opening the second half, United look like sheep waiting
Dave in Buffalo : 4/24/2019 4:12 pm : link
to get slaughtered.
What the helll was de Gea...

Another soft goal. What incredible decline in form for him. United look just pitiful.
While it is fun to laugh at United in their current state

It sucks as a Liverpool fan to know the league is all but lost. An amazing season that will be hard to take any joy from, cruel sport.
United vs City...
bw in dc : 4/24/2019 4:48 pm : link
The difference in skill is staggering.

United is so mechanical, and struggle with creativity.

Meanwhile, Pep has re-created Barca in City.

Well, we still have Champion's league. Still pissed that Kompany didn't get red carded.
Yeah still have CL ani think they can beat Barca
Oscar : 4/24/2019 5:04 pm : link
But honestly CL is not what I want this season if you told me right now City will draw Burnley but Liverpool will get thrashed by Barcelona I would sign for it. I would much much much much much rather win the league.
Both Leicester and Burnley will put up a much better fight
Dave in Buffalo : 4/24/2019 5:12 pm : link
than United just did. There's still a chance.
I agree
Oscar : 4/24/2019 5:22 pm : link
Just venting. One draw is possible still
United still hasn't rebuilt since SAF left.
Bobby Humphrey's Earpad : 4/24/2019 5:33 pm : link
and it shows in the talent. They got a nice bump when Mourinho left but water finds its level. Look at the back 5 that played today.
Man City is amazing. What a machine.
Heisenberg : 4/24/2019 5:34 pm : link
What a title run from them. We can hope they falter but that would be a real miracle at this point.
If deGea plays to his standard of the last few years
scouser : 4/24/2019 5:42 pm : link
the game ends 0-0.
Goal DeGea conceded to Messi

He was shaky last week against Everton, too.
I would not give up if I was a Liverpool fan
moespree : 4/24/2019 9:33 pm : link
Burnley will park the bus and waste time right from the kickoff. Leicester will get up for the game. A draw in either of them is entirely possible.

However, if they don't slip up, imagine being Liverpool and finishing the season with 1 loss and 97 points and not winning the title. Other then never losing you really can't do much better.
I think City has the advantage with being out of the CL
Go Terps : 4/24/2019 9:49 pm : link
I know Liverpool finishes with winnable matches, but I think they have a higher likelihood of dropping points.
