but then you have 14 picks in this draft, and 12 is already too many. At some point, you have to flip some of those picks to either move up in 2019 or get more picks in 2020. I'd be more inclined to start stockpiling assets for next year than get additional picks this year.

I’d hope that the Giants can get the 2019 2nd, 3rd and 2020’s first rounder.

the Giants did trade with Washington in 1984 to move back into RD 1 for William Roberts.

Ahead of the Giants for fear we will take their QB. I believe the Giants know this and probably want it to happen, as 1 more QB selected before us means 1 more stud drops to us.

I also believe this is why you heard so much chatter about Haskins and then it switched to Jones. It's smoke to drive the value up on this weak QB class.

Can you imagine the frenzy that will take place in 2020's season. At the end of the season, teams near the bottom are going to sub in their 2nd and 3rd string players in order to guarantee a loss. Get capital for 2020. 2 1st round picks, their 2nd round pick and 2 3rd round picks (as a comp...hoping) and you have some real fire power to wheel and deal without selling out 2021 picks. Then you can get a top level QB.

You're really short-changing the Giants in these scenarios. That's not nearly enough value to move from #15 to #6, regardless of whatever draft value trade chart you're looking at. It's going to cost a lot more than that for them to move up and get their franchise QB, that's just the way it goes.
