Big news regarding Montez Sweat on draft day.

Teams believe the Mississippi State pass rusher's heart condition was misdiagnosed at the NFL Scouting Combine, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported, per sources informed.

Around The NFL will have more on this story soon

Video in the link

Basically his condition should NOT be an issue...they did not properly measure the thickness of his heart wall...
Curious how this will shake out

I think he will be on more draft boards than before, and can potentially move up

From our NFL pre-draft coverage: #MSU pass-rusher Montez Sweat may have been misdiagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. Two sources say the thickness of Sweat's heart wall is actually 1.5 cms, not nearly 2.0. I explain below why the risk could be much lower.

sounds like he might have a lawsuit on his hands if true. Also, how are they measuring the thickness of his heart?
This is the most pre-draft noise

and rumor chatter I can remember ever having in previous drafts. Fun stuff.
Just so you guys are aware

Identifying abnormalities in athlete's hearts is tricky since their hearts aren't like a normal person's heart. That said, there's no way wall thickness by echocardiogram (as I assume it was measured by) can be read as 2 cm when it's actually 1.5 if it's read accurately. Btw,1.5 is thick for a normal person, which gives you an idea how tricky this is.
Interesting and suspicious that this comes out on

draft day. Sure DG and his staff see it the same way. Agent strategy to raise his stock or why and wait till now ? All fair in the NFL scramble to avoid draft day mistakes that should have been uncovered long ago.
Oh boy if the Combine doctors screwed this up...

...I really like his game. Osi clone but even faster. Closing burst is unreal. I really hope they can get the necessary information distributed to the teams in time for them to make an accurately informed decision about potentially selecting him tonight.

Voodoo. For sure.

I would think that any teams that had a deep interest would have had him looked at by their own doctors and would probably keep that diagnosis secret.
His measurables are off the chart.

Apparently so was the measurement of his heart wall.

If it checks out, I like him almost as much as Allen.

I like him more. He has elite speed and quickness.

I put a lot of value on that if you have to separate the two...

A Bob sighting. ALWAYS great seeing you, buddy
A little OT, but I think it's funny.

My cardiologist schedules me for an ECG. I get a little pamphlet from the place I have to go to, and among the things it says is not to use any powder or lotion on my body (which I understood...don't want the electrodes sliding off), but it also said not to use any aftershave or cologne, which I thought was odd.

So, when I got there I asked them about that. One of the techs smiled and said that a lot of patients thought they were going clubbing, because they put on so much cologne or perfume that it stunk up the whole waiting room.
It wouldn't be the Combine Dr's fault

It's whoever diagnosed him prior to playing college. He had to get a waiver from the SEC to play
This seems like

But can he run real fast towards the QB and never wrap him up like Vernon?
