if the Giants draft Grier at 37 if the trade UP to get him I would be even more enraged. If that's the asset they are going to use on a QB then they would be much better off dealing it for Rosen. I would rather gamble on Rosen and his concerns than draft Grier who has a low ceiling and is 2 years older than Rosen.

It sounded like they had low first round grades on these top 4 guys the whole time. If true, it indicates Getts is not going to force the pick. While I'd prefer Rosen overall all, Grier is intriguing and has some unique arm talent. He would also benefit from a lot less pressure to step in quickly and would be better overall for managing the qb controversy that management apparently is so keen to avoid.

but if the Giants want to draft him, they should absolutely trade up into the back end of the first round to do it. If he's a 2nd rounder he gets a straight 4 year deal, as a 1st rounder, the Giants get a 5th year option.

If Grier is an option [again hoping not but for the sake of the argument] that 5th year option is more valuable then the likely day 3 picks it would cost to move from 37 to 30-32.
