The Sapp thing was a Hess veto. Leon Hess was an awful owner. Even Kotite was on record saying "I have to get this guy". Hess said no.
What's wrong with Jeff Lageman? He was a good player
Fullback. Christ. Remember that well
Lageman actually ended up better than some of the players drafted immediately after him, but I seem to recall that at that time the Jets had plenty of other "needs" and Lageman was more of a luxury pick.

There was speculation it would be Hart Lee Dykes as Wesley Walker was nearing the end. Lageman was the Gastineau replacement.
Is that Marino would've won just as many Super Bowls with the Jets as he did in Miami
If Marino was the Jets QB, he'd have lost to Simms in Pasadena, The Jets were good that season, best team in football early in the season, lost to KC in the playoffs if memory serves.

Cleveland. That Gastineau roughing the passer game. We'd still have to face Elway in the AFC Title. Not sure that Jets team makes the Super Bowl anyway.
Just as a reminder that if think things can't any worse, you could always be a fan of the jets.
I laugh every time. So good.
