The replaceable nature of RB and the fact that QB is the most important position in sports; he was right there. Now, let's get back to talking about Darnold's turnovers as a 20 year old with no mention of Eli's struggles.
For one second do you think the Lions EVER regret drafting Sanders where they did? If Barkley becomes what it looks like he will become, the same willbe said for them.
You could use that forehead of the guy on the right
Thanks @Jets every time he gets picked off. There is no need to rub our faces in it even assuming Sam is a hit (which I am not sure you can even say at this point).
Spent a #2 pick on Geno Smith and when that worked out so well they spent a #2 pick on Christian Hackenberg. Passed over Dan Marino to draft Ken O"Brien. Will always be the "Dog-Ass Jets" (thank you, Dan Jenkins) and will always be second-class citizens in the the NY/NJ market. Get back to us after Darnold wins his second SB MVP and we'll talk.

Just *try* being objective here, it's refreshing.
Yet this has nothing to do with Eli, its about Darnold vs Barkley. I guarantee if the Giants could do it again, they'd choose Barkley again.
RE: Two HOFers were draft right after Barry Sanders

It all really depends on (1) how Darnold's career plays out; and (2) do they Giants find that next "franchise" qb within Barkley's productive window that has this team in contention regularly. If Darnold becomes the qb he was projected to be in college and leads the Jets to perennial contention, and the Giants turn into the 1990's Detroit Lions (i.e., a great running back with a revolving door at qb), Barkley will have been the wrong choice.
What I didn't say is that Barkley isn't a great rb, before someone jumps off the deep end. He can be a great player at a widely replaceable position, and be the wrong choice. We won't know this for a few years.
I also agree, the photo is stupid and immature. Not going to print T-shirts of anything after year 1.
RE: You could use that forehead of the guy on the right
Let alone Canton, which is what youd think here. The Jets should know enough not to gloat at this point but whatever, well see how it plays out for them.
And a shitty present. They have no choice but to dream of the future to a day when they will be relevant and respected. Until then, they are just a franchise known for draft failures and the Buttfumble.
Always feel embarrassed at Shea or Citifield when fans are feeling their oats and chanting "Yankees Suck" -- it's such a lame look when you root for the "little brother" franchise to be obsessed with the varsity. Jets fans gloating over a) something that is far from a lock to be a 'win' for them and b) potshotting the Giants when they haven't won or been to a suberbowl since the start of the first Nixon administration is just laaaaaaaame.

If you saw the Rose Bowl that question was answered once and for all on that field. And Barkley is a really good player but RB's come and go, they get beat up, they don't last long etc. Seemed like just yesterday DeMarco Murray and William Andrews and Deuce McCallister were beasting in this league. But it's a fragile position where even great seasons can have little impact on overall team performance

Nothing is answered once and for all, especially by a college bowl game. Vince Young looked great too. Fact is Darnold has been nothing but mediocre and Barkley is an All-Pro. 5 years from now I bet its the same, what will you say then?

Do you realize there is a difference between being a starting QB at 20-21 vs a running back which is a plug and play position. Darnold is studying brain surgery, Barkley is playing checkers.

And you do realize there is a big difference between claiming victory on a player who hasn't shown he can be anything more than average yet, and a player who excelled immediately the minute he stepped on the field. Next you are going to tell me that Webb is going to be great too, even though he's also done nothing
Much like their fan base who after last night seemed more concerned with trying to bash the Giants rather than realize that they probably got the best defensive player in the draft.
He is so fucking pathetic. He reminds me of those people who post their political views on facebook as if it is going to change anyone's mind. He is so desperate for us to believe that Darnold is a future HOF'er. He has nothing better to do than post on a NY Giants message board. He's a troll nothing more.
Even if you felt that way, would you want the organization you root for to tweet that out?
Lets see Darnold not imitate a baker with his turnovers and try and prove hes even in same stratosphere as Baker Mayfield.
Based on what, exactly?
They hired a coach that looks crazy.
Not sure what they are so excited about.
Cleveland might have drafted Barkley 1st
And got Baker at 4.
Jets pushed them to get Baker 1st

I'm smaht! Not like every says...like dumb! I'm smaht...and I want respect!
Taking Barkley really messed up there heads
They are annoying quick to anoint literally anyone as their savior.
Hey, that's why I'm here.
Still talking shit? Check

Perfect execution. Exactly what I'd have done.

I'm sorry to hear that.
Seriously.
And when Barkley gets to canton first ballot? Then what smarty pants?

Pretty easy considering the Jets just signed a guy on the cheap to do it.
Marlon Mack was drafted in the 4th round in 2017 and had 908 rushing yards in 12 games last year
Kareem Hunt in the 3rd round...1,327 rookie season
So yea this kind of production is always there to be had
