I guess I don't know much about Rosen, but if we can get him cheap then lets try it. But there should be a reason why AZ is moving on from him so soon, seems strange.

Because the new coach of the Cardinals uses the Air Raid offensive system and Kyler Murray will be better at that system.

Rosen had a terrible year, even given that he was on his back for most of it. Goff had a similarly rookie year. I think Rosen’s our best option this year if he’s cheap in terms of 2019 picks.

Cardinals (perhaps inadvertently) signaled that they aren't getting good offers. Giants can claim they're just as interested in the QBs this year to drive the price down. As soon as the Cards draft Murray, Rosen's price goes down.

No need to cave and offer a 1. If this doesn't work out, we turn to the 2020 QBs.

I've read the most they've been offered is a 3rd. Can't see them jumping all the way to 6 if that is true.

I didn't mean to imply that a first was offered. But rather, Arizona holding and dragging this out for a first is not happening.

I'm not saying they Giants should bid against themselves--i think the 37 pick will end up doing it (if they do it). But why will the Giants "rue the day" of trading a second or third round pick (if they trade some other picks to get another third rounder to trade to Arizona) for Rosen. The Giants drafted Davis Webb in the third round two years ago and cut him before his second year. It was a waste of a third round pick, but I don't think the Giants are Ruing the day. They picked Kyle Lauletta in the 4th round -- an ultra dumb pick -- but the Giants will still not rue the day when they cut him or relegate him to third string at best. It sucks to waste draft picks in the middle of the draft, but risking a second or third round pick on a guy who was a top 10 pick last year and unquestionably has a high ceiling of potential is a risk worth taking, even if he ends up flopping. It's not like taking Akili Smith with the third pick in the draft.
