1. Stunned they went qb at 6. Was told no way. I did Tell you they loved Jones. I was told Jones or lock at 17 and last week they thought they may not be available then. I took that to mean trading up from 17. For what it's worth, I actually heard from 3 people Rosen was never a consideration. Also, won't go into specifics, there's more to the team not wanting Haskins then just talent. To me, and I like Jones, passing on allen is criminal. I was wrong though and inown it.
2. Lawrence can play. I disagree w Eric on Tomlinson. If he stays he'll go back To end but they feel he's best at nose. I think he could definitely be traded. I was told tonight most were stunned but they plan to try to add more picks still.
3. Demanded Baker I love. I do. That said he has red flags also. The Giants avoid red flags like the plague but don't here. Baffling. Again. I love Baker though. Well see.

I watched nearly every Duke game for the last three years, and Jones was a great QB for Duke, but I don't think I ever saw a top 10 pick. For most of the year, I saw a second or third round pick.
Also still confused/disappointed that Josh Allen was sitting right there and they let him go. It's almost like Gettleman conspired with Tom Coughlin to make Jacksonville's defense even better...

And I have no sources, but I'd bet that the next positions to be addressed will be OL, EDGE, and WR. But that is based off straight logic.
I fail to see how this team will be significantly different than last year. WE have a moderately improved OL with no #1 WR and an aging QB. So, we will once again rely heavily on Barkley to do amazing things on his own. We obviously will look to stuff the run on D, but have no meaningful pass rush to speak of and a mediocre secondary, even with Baker on board. I just don't see the ability to win more than a handful of games when they had a shot at impact players.

I'd be amazed if we were a contender with Jones in his first real year. He's not Mahomes: fuck he's a million miles from being Mahomes. Frankly I'd be amazed if we were ever an contender with Jones, it'd literally make Jones a statistical oddity because his offensive efficiency is dire (literally the lowest in this class) and no college QB in the last 10 years has improved that number in the NFL in his first 4 years, and a number of them had really shitty teams in college as well.
I mean we've literally signed a guy with the 3rd worst pass rating of all QB's with a shot of being drafted in this class. At 6. At fucking 6. I don't care what excuses are made for his teams lack of talent, that's fucking madness.
