Leading up to the draft, some on here were convinced the leaks from the organization stopped. With Jones being the pick, that was clearly wrong as everyone across sports media knew the Giants loved Jones. This is now a problem across 2 septate Front Offices.
You can say that there were smoke screens and whatnot, but it was all clearly out there how much the Giants loved Jones. Jones was the one player before the draft that I said if they picked, it would be obvious there were leaks in the ship.
Why can't this organization keep things internal?
I heard they were definitely Defense at #6.
Just about EVERY final Mock draft had Giants drafting Defense at 6. People were matching the Giants with Jones because of the whole coach manning thing. Tough to hide that relationship when it is public knowledge.
Believer me, I have a lot of other complaints. My biggest complaint about last night is picking a backup QB, but the leaks are an ancillary point.
I just kept hearing how everyone was so confident the leaks were finally over, but they clear aren't. Everyone and their Grandma knew Gettleman loved Jones. Some, like me, didn't want to believe it, but it was painfully obvious.

Agree. From reading the tea leaves in the media, I never felt Jones was going to be the pick.
