Haskins has really thin skin

RobCarpenter : 4/26/2019 7:04 am
He said “the league done messed up” and talked about having a chip on his shoulder.

I mean - you are a first round pick and you are whining about ‘falling’ and being the 3rd QB taken?

I wonder how he’ll do when the Washington Post sports columnists turn on him when he has a bad game.
Perhaps

Though, it's understandable how he feels. I wish the kid luck.
Literally

Every player says stuff like that lol.

Rosen reacted similarly last year.

I guess the sentiment doesn’t bug me - they believe in themselves and thought they were better than QB’s drafted ahead of them.

That said, just shut up about it.

I thought Rosen did himself no favors last year with his comments and Haskins isn’t doing himself any here.

Unfortunately he’s a redskin so you can’t!
He's a good kid
Allen in CNJ : 4/26/2019 7:09 am : link
and he really wanted the Giants to take him. I think the ceiling is a lot higher with Jones though, as he can run, and he can make all of the throws. I think Haskins definitely has a right to be upset but he should prove it in his play.

I also saw somewhere that he's going to ask Joe Theismann about taking his #7. That's ballsy!

Haskins has a far better arm than Jones. Jones arm is average at best, and he's got a Eli like flutter to it, not a lot of tight spirals.
Nothing new, happens all the time

Last year Rosen talked about nine mistakes ahead of him and the chip on his shoulder was bigger than ever.

Why would any Giant fan wish the kid luck?
SFGFNCGiantsFan : 4/26/2019 7:12 am : link
He plays for a divisional rival.
Lol

This clown made everyone spend $50 to go to his party. Hate drafting qbs on one season of work. Have fun Washington.
Who was the better qb prospect
KDubbs : 4/26/2019 7:15 am : link
Out of ohio st, Cardale Jones or Haskins?

Are you serious? What a douche. Anyway guy is pretty unathletic so I'm not worried about it.
The one who should be complaining is Lock

Someone is going to get a good deal.

I really liked him....
Lots of great places to eat

in DC and the vicinity. Far enough south that the BBQ is top notch.
Haskins was pissed...

You can tell. Watch this:

And now Rosen has no future with the team that drafted him.

Yep
Haskins charging for draft party - ( New Window )
Rosen basically said the same thing last year
ZogZerg : 4/26/2019 7:42 am : link
and got killed for it.
Haskins seems like a good kid
ZogZerg : 4/26/2019 7:45 am : link
But, I hope he fails in Washington.

Now the Giants have to deal with the Jets and Darnold and whether he turns into a top QB as well as the skins and Haskins.

Lots of comparisons down the road.
Imagine wanting the Giants
Giantimistic : 4/26/2019 7:57 am : link
Then they take a qb and you go to Washington. He didn’t have a good poker face.
Seems like he fits in well with Danny
RobCarpenter : 4/26/2019 8:11 am : link
By charging people for everything
I didn’t bother watching it,
Big Blue '56 : 4/26/2019 8:37 am : link
but ESPN had a 23 second video of Haskins smirking when the Jones pick was announced. Not opining on that one way or the other, just that there’s video on it. Fwiw
How would any of you feel?
crackerjack465 : 4/26/2019 8:58 am : link
Lets say you, or your son, a lifelong Giants fan, plays a position your team needs, and they pass on you for a QB from Duke.

Then you end up on the Redskins...

I’d realize that playing for the team I rooted for as a kid may not happen. And I wouldn’t be surly about it with the media.
Lots of 1st round picks use other teams
Section331 : 4/26/2019 9:37 am : link
passing on them as motivation. I don't see it as an issue at all, in fact, I kind of like it.

Haskins has a “far better arm” when he has all day to decide which nfl WR he’d like to throw to .... Jones is the better, more complete prospect. His arm is also ridiculously underrated, not “special” but nowhere near average or a liability like some want to say it is.

So glad Haskins isn’t a Giant - I see nothing special whatsoever with him. I don’t care about his stats
