NFT: IT'S FRIDAY!!!! - What did you learn from the draft....

1. We drafted a tall, mobile QB who throws like a girl.
2. Eli is going to start for at least 3 more years.
3. Passing on information you hear is amazing. Unless you get one thing wrong, and then you are discredited for everything.
4. If WRs drop passes and OL cant block, the QB should rise above that.
5. We drafted a CB who cant cover, despite never giving up a TD the last two years.
6. PFF is the ultimate source for grading players.
7. We could have taken Daniel Jones at 17, despite 3 teams who were looking to trade up for him.
8. Archie Manning runs this team.
9. Along with Eli.
10. BBI posters know more about players after watching 5 minutes of youtube videos than professional scouts and GMs.

Does he throw like a girl or like a little prepubescent girl? Big distinction there, I am ok with the former, but all bets are off with the latter.

In all seriousness, not only does it seem like teams were trying to trade up for him, but also that teams sitting at 10 and 11 may have taken him.

not to follow college prospects and just read about the choices when made. This way I do not become more expert than pro team scouts as many other posters have become and don�t get a heart attack and have my head explode as the the Giants inevitably make the wrong draft choices (not those I as an expert would have made).

One of the first things that crossed my mind. Of course, black QBs ranked well over Jones (note universal outrage over that pick) but I he Giants loved the big white guy.

Don't get me wrong, I'll root hard for Jones, but the only way Giants lose that stigma is to seriously one day get behind a black QB.

And then I learned that when Jones doesn't turn into a good QB, Gettleman should be fired because he didn't have clear conviction in the pick.

But mostly I learned that too many posters on BBI

Base their knowledge of football from ESPN and other media outlets much like many students get their information from twitter and facebook.

Also Matt Lombardo is becoming another typical giants beat reporter who doesn�t really research before reporting.

Here's the clear conviction: Eli is at the end of the road and we need a new QB. Gettleman's not the only one counting on Jones. Getting the "right" QB under any circumstances is always a crapshoot -- like this year, say.
