Is what I am hearing also, Peyton lives in Denver and is very close with Elway, it makes sense that Denver would have taken him, if that is the case, so be it, I wanted Haskins, but now I am a Jones fan and fuck Haskins, I am a Giant fan. I don't need to be right to be happy, as long as the Giants got it right and this was the right pick, I am thrilled. if this turns out to be a disaster, then all of us are outraged. You had Haskins there, he better not become a better QB then Jones, you has Josh Allen there, 17 sacks in the SEC last season, this is what is killing me. I am fine with Dexter Lawrence and Deandre Baker. They are both good players we needed. I just hope they got this right with Jones. otherwise we are the laughing stocks of football once again.

Peyton had a very ugly divorce with the Broncos a few years ago.

anymore about Josh Rosen! I an hopeful the picks they made so far make the Giants a better team, so far I am not seeing it. Perhaps they get lucky and find an olineman and perhaps a pass rusher in the next few rounds.

They did however sign future NFL MVP Kyle Sloter as an UDFA, so they have that going for them...which is nice.

That said, that means Giants would have had Josh Allen rather than Dexter Lawrence. I would rather have Allen but I don't see it as a huge, franchise-making difference.

Allen is simply not strong enough to be the next LT or Khalil Mack. He will be a good player not a great one

Even the media is now reporting Denver was going Jones, maybe Cincy too. He was not going to last.

If they feel he is the future they did the right thing. I’m hoping this takes care of the position for the next 12 years or so.

sure he wouldn't have been, but I wouldn't have taken him at #17 either.

Allen can increase his strength. Josh explodes off the ball and he has a great closing burst. Allen is a natural pass rusher.
