I've always liked Waldman's analysis of quarterback play. The video is an hour and I think he gives a thorough breakdown of Jones. The main points to take away are that he doesn't believe Jones has sufficient accuracy to succeed in the NFL and that Jones struggles with reading the ancillary defenders before picking his spots and making his throws. He also had some positive things to say about Jones' ability under pressure.

What also stands out is he’s making a LOT of throws under pressure, or
adjusting away from pressure, and doing a good job of it to my eye. And, a lot of catchable balls are dropped.
Even MW says he’s polarizing because he’s so often doing things under pressure and without great help from WRs.

And do we think the pressure is going to be better or worse in the NFL? I think worse.
Does that help him in the NFL?
I know NFL QBs look good when there is little pressure. When they are getting hit and under pressure, who can adjust and make plays. Those are the guys that do well.
What can PS do with him?
Shurmur signed off on him, so he must think he can work with him.
