think theres a good chance we aren't waiting til pick 95. Hitting on 4 of the top 50 or so prospects would go a long, long way in rebuilding this roster.
Is quite a bit more accurate. Most advance stats seem to agree.
'Not a rocket' seems to be a bit of an understatement regarding Jones' arm strength. If you watch him throw out routes on tape it's quite a scary sight.

The rest of the draft is for filling in depth. Were probably done finding a legit contributor. Whatever holes we still have, and they appear to be many, will likely be addressed next offseason. Hoping to fill them with lottery tickets, UDFAs, and other teams castoffs is wishful thinking.
They may need to mortgage a pick next year for that. Id support it actually. Get a talent you want now and love as you build up and play the draft game next year.
Its possible Giants are picking top 10-12 picks next year and given they have their QB prospect they possibly can recoup and trade down next year if they have to sacrifice a 2 or 3 next year.
on QB Jake Dolegala. I know they have Jones but Dolegala has a great arm and he has a higher upside than Lauletta. Two years as the #3 QB might turn into a steal for the Giants. If not he could be Jones' backup for several years.
likely get a comp three for Collins, so they could possibly trade a third next year, and other assets to get back into the second.
It's pretty clear that Gettleman didn't get all those day three picks to use them. He got them to use as collateral to endlessly trade up. That seems like a bad strategy on a team with so many holes.

In no way, shape, or form do you trade a first next year to make that happen. I assume Jack Rabbit is on the block, and Im fine moving a guy like him. But the Giants really need to acquire draft equity next year, not deal it away.
Of course, this is the dumbest front office of all time, and Im not sure Gettleman is even of sound mind, so it wouldnt shock me to see him give up our first next year in a shortsighted move to get another pick now.
We came in desperately needing pass rush and a RT. So far we got a QB who won't dress for a single game, a click better nose than Tomlinson and a good corner who could be a lockdown.
As thrilled as I was last season this season feels like we left a lot on the table.
We will come into 2019 FAR WEAKER than we were in 2018. What we're only interested in having a SINGLE playmaker on the roster and just pound the shit out of him until he is forced to retire in 4-5 years?
Going back to the 1980's style...pound the rock 40 times, limit passes to 15-20 SHORTEN THE GAME and play awesome defense...except this time we have none so SINGLE MISTAKES will cost us games we are able to stay close in.

Youre short selling Lawrence big time and a lockdown CB is crucial to Bettchers scheme.
Hated passing on Allen, but this shit roster has so many holes and they plugged 2 quite nicely last night.
I just hope they dont trade Engram - it better be for a haul if they do
If we stay put, here are some potential Rush and O-line targets.
#95 Jachai Polite OLB, Charles Omenihu DE
#108 Bobby Evans OT, Michael Deiter C/G, Austin Bryant DE
#143 Ben Banogu DE, Carl Granderson, DE
#171 Maxx Crosby DE, Shareef Miller DE
#180 Andrew Van Ginkel OLB, John Cominsky DE, Isaiah Prince
OT
There are plenty of solid developmental guys, at the very least.

Wrong thread
2) Edge
3) OL
He has used a 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th round pick on 2 cornerbacks.
Players that are bad fits on current team, that can resolve specific issue.
Also, draft a stud punter
How?
I would guess that would/might involve next years pick?
How? That would require trading Engram, or next year's first.
Would have more ammo to do so if we didn't give away a 4 and a 5 to move up 7 spots.

No way on the first.
They could bundle a 2 next year and a 4 this year. I could see a team in the back end of the 2nd like the Pats or a few others biting.

Tomlinson and picks.
Tomlinson being a Reese guy and the NT picked last night. Is Tomlinson appropriate trade bait?
Has to be for a player...?
+1 - What would be the net gain if either/both were traded?? Both can contribute.

Good luck with that. 👍

OL with fourth and sixth.
Wr with other fifth rounder.
Seventh rounders, BPA.
If you want a second round pick you have to trade Engram, or Tomlinson and a pick from 2020, both of which I oppose.

Lets hope for a big WR run and the mediocre QBs start going
Jaylon Ferguson in a trade up please?

Such an underrated talent on this roster. He shines without Beckham - Feature him!
Trade next years 2/3 and use all that cap to plug holes next year.
There is legit first round talent just sitting there
(Risner/Ford, Ferguson)
