Somehow someone close to me had access to the Giants war room last night. He told me our first two picks way before they were announced. Then I started to believe him. The third nugget was the trade up, so I posted that.
I have no idea if I'll hear anything tonight, but if I do and I don't think it will compromise any critical secrets, I promise to share. But my guess is I probably won't hear anything. We'll see.

Already posted these, but Jones has been the pick for a while, at least a week or more. And we almost traded to 8 to grab Allen, but then the Jags took him.

Did the team in the 8 spot already agree to terms? Because if they did then we could have taken Allen and THEN grabbed Jones.
Not sure, but it sounded like a done deal, so I think there probably was a deal in place.
Damn. Now THAT'S frustrating to hear. Why on earth wouldn't they take Allen then trade up for Jones? Unreal. JAX just dumped a ton of money on Foles. Jones was safe at that point. This actually pisses me off.

If the Giants take Allen who was Jacksonville's guy...then they could have traded the pick to someone who wanted Jones. That's the only thing I can think of

I suppose, but it's one team. I think at that point you roll the dice that a defensive team like JAX is going to make their pick at the high spot in the draft for a good D player. On top of that even if they trade what are the odds it's for Jones?

Wow some putpunch of a decision. Probably wanted to be safe and make sure they get their QB 1st. This one makes the Jones pick burn even more
