His "official" 40 time of 4.8 seemed off. On quite a few of his scampers, he just runs away from everybody including DBs... Its kind of surprising. He runs high, and doesn't look like he is all that fast, but nobody catches him. 4.67 makes more sense to me.
There's a clip in one of his highlight packages I watched where he literally takes off running, looks like one of the slowest guys on the field, and winds up out-running the entire defense for a TD. DB's included.
He has deceptive speed.
This guy is not a statue. He's not Lamar Jackson, but teams are going to have to at least consider that he could take off running.

The UNC game... And he did not once but twice in that game!
three years and out from Duke, We have time with Him , We need to get ELI into the hall in the next couple off years, do we not? Loving this teams potential.

Burress had that strange trait about him. It was always strange watching him outrun defenders, it always looked like he was in slow motion but defenders couldn't catch him.
This might be the most interesting draft pick in my lifetime. I totally understand the worry of us fans but at the same time I also see that he could be great. I do not think Eli is much like Peyton besides mechanics as a QB. I will assume DJ will not be like either of them besides his mechanics/mental makeup. Running is something neither one of them can do. So maybe DJ will fall short in a couple categories compared to them. However, maybe having a QB that shares their traits but can actually run for even 4 yards is enough to keep linebackers honest which could be all the difference in the world of creating easier throws.

It was Duke vs. UNC? I guess I all fairness to the UNC defenders they thought Jones would be called for travelling.
Of 60 and 70 yards last year. Had 186 rushing yards vs Carolina, over 1300 yards rushing and 17 rushing touchdowns for his career. Jones is athletic, he can run.
I decided to look up stats first.
So the 2017 Northwestern team finished 10-3 and ranked 17th in nation. Opponents pts against avg was 20.1 points ranked 20th.
Here was Daniel Jones against that team.
305 yards passing 2 TDs and 108 yards rushing 2 TDs. Next leading rusher that game had 58 yards on two less carries. Link - ( New Window )

This got a laugh!
Well played.
I want that soundtrack or at minimum the “I fight to survive” song. “Kumite, Kumite, Kumite...”
