Those teams were fun to watch and he got the most out of the talent he had, you could see how much they loved playing for him and his system should be fine in the nba..
Funny he gets a 5 year deal, only 1 team refuses to give 5 year deals

That’s what they do. I suppose he could have waited a day to confirm that but it’s not a bad job depending on your view of Sexton. Another top-6 pick coming, low pressure environment. There are only 30 NBA jobs and he’s 66 years old.
Bigger question I guess is why would Cleveland want a 66 year old college coach? Maybe they feel he can play an important role developing their young guys for a couple years.
Very surprising move by Beilein. The Cavs could be in good shape though. I believe they can also trade JRs contract to help facilitate a trade or clear cap space for a team.
As a Knicks fan, the Cavs, Lakers or Mavs winning the lottery tomorrow is a complete nightmare...
I do get why he'd jump at the NBA though. Michigan is losing pretty much everyone and this is as good a time as any to make a move. At his age, he won't get many more opportunities to coach in the NBA.
And I’m upset, but there will be no meltdown from em. Super happy for Beilein. If this is what he wanted, he deserves it. He rebuilt Michigan from the ground up and left it in better shape than anyone could’ve asked for. It sucks we’ll have to replace him and the immediate uncertainty around who it will be is frustrating, but wish Coach B all the best.
Let the meltdown commence from all of our resident Michigan fans...

Fantastic hire, young team perfect for a first time nba coach

you know it is going to happen..
Cavs 1, lakers 2
My father hired him to his first coaching job as a JV boys basketball coach.
From there he went to Erie Community College and worked his way up from EVERY level of basketball from JUCO, Div III, Div II and finall Div. I.
The only level he never coached was HS Varsity.
Best coach in America, IMO.
