course there’s relief with winning and then there’s jubilation on winning. we need relief every game, but jubilation when we beat cowboys and eagles and skins.
As bad as we were last year, we could have finished them last year if we won that 2nd matchup in Philadelphia. Burying them would have made last year more tolerable given the countless times they've ruined seasons for us when we were actually good. But instead, we gave them a reprieve and they eventually got themselves into position to qualify for the playoffs and, to no surprise, they secured the best matchup possible for them (Chicago) in that first game.
And, yes I am am still upset.
The way these guys have played the last few years... Â
For twenty years, that one game has accurately predicted whether the Giants would make the playoffs. So I’ll take that win, thanks, and leave the rest to chance.
As a bonus, we get to see their fans suffer. I don’t hate the team, though. The current Eagles roster is actually pretty likable.
I second this. But on the way there... The fuckin' Panthers. That game last year still has me sour. We've had a lot of close games with them over the past few years and it's now become somewhat of a rivalry that's gone back and forth between us. From Eli's first playoff game, to that 2008 win of ours for homefield advantage at Giants stadium. The last game in Giants stadium was a debacle, but we beat them in our first regular season game at Metlife. Not to mention the Odell/Josh Norman game... Last years game leaves me unsettled and, honestly, I kinda hate that team. Besides our division foes who we all hate.

Depends on where you live. I don't know any Eagles fans, but I know a ton of Skins fans and more than a few Cowboys fans.
