Sixth-round pick Corey Ballentine reported Monday w/rest of Giants rookie class + is partaking in some activities (classroom, rehab, etc.) Ballentine was shot in backside after he was drafted. He popped into the facility late last week but now officially joined his new teammates.
From the available medical reports, it really is "but a flesh wound".
Needs time for the skin to heal, but no major affect on strength or movement.

I haven't seen it stated that way, but if so, great. Superficial would have no lasting effect. A muscle injury, very different.
