The fate of a Senior Bowl MVP QB

EJ Manuel was selected 16th overall in 2013 after a strong showing at the Senior Bowl including MVP. He is now retiring from football.

The Giants have drafted the last 3 Senior Bowl MVPs and they've all been QBs. I hope Jones is better than EJ, Kyle Lauletta, or Davis Webb.

Your answer.. QB-wise... no... none have. That list is awful minus 2 pass rushers that were senior bowl MVPs. But Dee Ford and Brandom Graham took time to develop into beasts in the pro game.

Terry Bradshaw, Dan Marino and Philip Rivers. To a lesser extent, Chad Pennington and Dak Prescott. There have also been plenty of misses. It seems you are grasping at straws to suit your narrative. Daniel Jones will succeed or fail on an NFL field in the near future, but the Senior Bowl will have nothing to do with that outcome.

Correct. The idiotic assumption that the two previous senior bowl MVP's Webb and Lauletta are busts therefore Jones must be a bust too. Also Daniel Jones went to Duke just as bust Dave Brown did. Daniel Jones can only be the next Dave Brown there is no other outcome!

as a barometer for lack of success in the NFL?! Maybe Jones turns out to be a terrible starting QB in this league, but it won't be because he was an MVP of the Senior Bowl!
