than he was at Duke, if you have the chance to package the pick in a deal for AD, you have to do it. That said, I'm interested to see if getting Zion changes AD's mind a bit.

getting an 18 year old kid no matter the hype is not keep anthony davis, he is going to stay there for another 5 years waiting for zion to develop?

Both Woj & Shams have said nothing has changed for Davis.
Will sign an extension here I think it's a no brainer. Obviously that's also dependent on getting KD & Kyrie/Kemba.
Why do people think the Pelicans would make a deal without Robinson? I just can't possibly see them giving up a 26 year old top 5 player without getting the Knicks best non draft pick asset in return.
Pick unprotected? Also, how would the trade work if we trade for AD? We would draft Barrett then ship him plus whatever for AD after we sign two max guys?
Knicks have a tall mountain to climb to try and trade for AD Â
good AD is because of this year's drama. He is a top 5 player in the league. He's a known commodity. The only concern I have with him are injuries, as he's had some, but nothing THAT major.

No protections on the 2021 pick, 2023 pick is protected
RE: Knicks have a tall mountain to climb to try and trade for AD Â
I start by offering the pick, Knox, and Dallas pick for Davis.
on a good team Frank will actually have some value if they dont fk him up even more.
If the pelicans balk and ask for Robinson as well, then so be it, you do the trade. I know robinson showed well but he doesnt hold up trading for anthony davis. its Anthony Davis.
Only diehard, rose-colored glasses Knicks fans... Â
The Knicks have a trove of future #’1’s they can package along with guys like Knox and Robinson. The C’s can’t match anything the Knicks offer in a potential bidding war, which is moot anyway because Kyrie likely walks (to NY) and AD has said he wants no part of Boston.
The Lakers have nothing. The state of that franchise is laughable at this point.
how anyone is going to be able to beat the Knicks offer unless Boston is willing to give Tatum with multiple picks which I don't see. The Lakers getting shut out of the top 3 picks is huge. Knicks should be able to get Davis for a few picks and Knox.
#3 this year
1 other 1st round pick
Knox
for Davis.
Go sign KD and Irving and you're set for a big time run.
like Tatum, Brown, Rozier, if they're willing to move them.
Lakers have Ingram, Kuzma, and NO is known to love Ball. They've got some solid role players. Toss in the #4 pick. Hell, they could trade James and I wouldn't blink.
I don't think RJ or Morant plus Knox, Robinson is enough to compare. I think that's overrating the Knicks' hand, imo.

first off rozier is restricted, no value there...
Ingram has a seroous blood clot issue, hownis that a valuable asset?
For one thing, I'd be concerned that a significant injury to one of KI/KD/AD would pop up at an inconvenient time. And there you are with no cap money and no draft picks
Also not convinced of the chemistry of the personalities.
Any path chosen has less than 50/50 chance of resulting in championship down the road. But I'd bet on the low cost/high upside young guy who also lets you keep the rest of your future.
RE: Only diehard, rose-colored glasses Knicks fans... Â
I just don’t want to go back down the road of mortgaging a ton of draft picks & all our young players for AD. We have some nice young pieces that would work with KD/Kyrie. I’m not trading the farm for AD out of desperation.
Ingram has a nebulous blood clot issue. I say nebulous as no one knows how it will turn out. Takes the shine off an already declining asset as it were.

5 years? More like 5 months. Zion will more likely be 1st team all NBA in 4 years than still be developing.

no they dont

no they dont
Sure they do, especially the Celtics. Knicks have a #3 pick and Smith Jr? Not great.
The Knicks have more desirable assets than Boston. The Lakers have shit, really.
They can sweeten the pot a little bit if New Orleans happens to like any of DSJ, Knox or Frank.
They can throw in an unprotected Mavs 2021 pick that can be huge moving forward.

How so?
Also, AD has a year left in his deal — what if he led after than year? And He has been injury prone.
Have patience, nurture the kids and hopefully sign Durant plus.

ok which is better?
4th pick, ingram(who has no value), ball( no value already said he didnt want to play in new orleans) kuzma and a future pick..
3rd pick, knox, frank, smith, 2020 knicks, 2021 dallas, 2022 knicks, 2023 dallas..
make the case for the Lakers assets over the Knicks assets.

the 4th pick has no value, itnis a 3 player draft
Does anyone really think Kyrie would walk?
Heck no. And that may very well be Boston's plan... first secure A.D. to then secure Kyrie.

Agreed.
You’re wrong here. It’s been said plenty in the media that the Knicks have an arsenal of desirable assets available for a potential AD trade.
So it is a bit more complicated....then just trade pick.
neither is kuzma...
Knicks have better draft picks and the better pick in this years draft
You don't think Nola has an interest in keeping Zion happy?
neither do the lakers..
Kyrie, Barrett, Knox, KD, and Robinson with Frank, DSJ and Dotson on the bench? add some size and that team can win.
Ingram has a serious blood clot issue, he is not an asset

I don't think the NBA would agree with you.
