NFT: FBB Thread 5-15

Time to give up on Votto? I picked Votto in rd 5 of a 10 team thinking he would be solid as usual. High avg (.290-.310) OBP 400+ and 80 runs 80 rbis.

This year... He has been abysmal. .207 avg .323 opb with 19 runs and 9 rbis. He has not been injured and he has a good lineup around him.

I am hesitant to drop him only because if I do he WILL turn it around. I had Josh Bell had to drop him since 3 pitchers went on IL. So I dropped him and he went off.


So I ask you...Votto cut bait or keep him?
Votto has been a FA in my 12 team league

for the last week. All of the other teams are pretty big baseball guys so you're definitely not alone in thinking about dropping him. I was considering picking him up but my only choice would be to drop Tatis for him .

I am STACKED offensively but I am still putting in a claim for him. We have 8 offensive categories (R, H, HR, RBI, SB, K, Ave., OPS).

I have tried to flip Albies for a P but everybody is being insane with the asking price of pitchers.

He could be getting called up again. No idea if that is why or if he will be starting or relieving.

I love Woodruff and Musgrove, but likely would only drop for Martin Perez. His performance seems not sustainable.
