NFT: Fake Grass- Anyone have it for their home

GMAN4LIFE : 5/16/2019 10:48 am
After countless issues with landscapers and grass just not growing in areas i want it to, i am thinking about getting fake grass for my home. question for you home owners that have it.

do you like it?

is there any maintenance for it? if so what needs to be done.

i have a current 8 zone sprinkler system. some zones are for certain plants on my property. Zones can be closed and other zones can be still turned on for the plants right?
I like it

Of when me and my brother almost set the Guinness book world record for most time on that very sea-saw. Too bad we fell asleep.

Why don't you just start over with sod?
don't go fake into you speak to Carl
Giantsfan79 : 5/16/2019 11:26 am : link
he created his own grass registered as Carl Spackler's Bent.

This is a hybrid. This is a cross, ah, of Bluegrass, Kentucky Bluegrass, Featherbed Bent, and Northern California Sensemilia. The amazing stuff about this is, that you can play 36 holes on it in the afternoon, take it home and just get stoned to the bejeezus-belt that night on this stuff.

which brings up the question with sod, does sod need alot of sunlight? i ask because my property has a massive tree that almost removes sunlight from my front grass.

I imagine that depends on the type of sod. If you get a sod that can grow in shade, probably not.
What do moles
Steve in ATL : 5/16/2019 11:50 am : link
do with it. Do they avoid it or eat their way to the surface?
artificial turf is crazy expensive
oghwga : 5/16/2019 11:57 am : link
Go with a low maintenance grass and don't use chemical fertilizers. Clover will grow in most any condition, stays green, and will fix nitrogen in the soil so it makes a good additive to the seed mix.

Feed the dirt not the plant. Under the tree you have shade plus the tree competing for nutrients. Try something besides grass under there like vinca or pachysandra.

You don't say where you're located but the climate you're in will make a difference
ok

had the same issue with grass. I hired a lawn chem company and the grass is as green and full as can be. Just follow what they say to do.

I remember when you pussed out of climbing into the treehouse again after you fell out and twisted your ankle.

Yeah, but then I stretched myself out on that swing set to gain a few inches. Gave me confidence.

I say this every time it comes up

call Naturalawn. They are a franchise that uses mostly organic products and they feed the SOIL. I always had the best grass on the block in every house I lived in. The only drawback is I was usually cutting it twice a week even in the dead of summer.
All those chemical fertilizers are garbage.

Shaded, weak grass, muddy. She hates when the dog is back there bringing mud back in the house. I'm resisting bc it's so fkn expensive.

Organic landscaping

When I moved into my house I had about a foot of soil dug up and brought in new organic soil and had a company do an 8 step organic, no chemical process for 2 years and now I am on my own. My yard is so dense and healthy.
