Excitement building...

for coming season! Hard to pre-judge all the moves that have been made so going to leave that to the "experts". I do think we need one more pass rusher. In a side note I sometimes think the worst thing that happened to the Giants was "The Catch" that made OBJ a rockstar. It put a bullseye on his back amongst other players around the league and fed into an ego that outgrew the team. I often thought that anyone in that situation would have had a problem handling the situation and then came Saquon.

But I just saw the Edelmen story ...and how he still holds Brady and Belechik is such esteme

And

Compare that with the Cleveland coach having to answer why OBJ is not at the OTAs....such a big difference.

Edelmen moved near Brady to just be available.

It is possible that OBJ was doing more harm than good,

but his teammates seemed to like him and he is a generational talent on the field. I understand the organization deciding to reapportion resources, not wanting to spend the money it would take to sign a "name" wide receiver and strong safety when the lines and defensive backfield need to be rebuilt, and there was a need to acquire Eli's successor. But I don't think OBJ was one of the Giants' problems. I just don't think he was a solution, either.

With that said I am looking forward to this season more than I have in years. The excitement of seeing Daniel Jones plus the improved offensive line, and the maturation of Barkley, Engram, Hernandez, Hill, Carter, McIntosh, Tomlinson, Shepard, Coleman, Wheeler, and Lauletta. Add all that to arrival of Peppers, Golden, Ximines, Baker, Love, Beal, Connelly, Ballentine, O'Hagan, Asafo-Adjei, Slayton, Conrad, Wesley, Rod Smith, and Eric Dungey and it is a refreshingly new team with a lot of excitement.

Don't think we'll see Dan Jones ...
