Really enjoyed it. Strangely the only thing I didn’t like as much was Clooney, who is fine, but somehow distracting because he’s....him and too recognizable.

Joseph Heller was stationed in Italy and flew with the 488 bomb squadron, 340th bomb group - 12th air force
He flew 60 missions but described several of them as "milk runs"
8th airforce - 47,000 casualties, 26,000 dead. 19% death rate according to the info I just looked up.

Reminds me what a great novel Catch-22 was.
When I think of the film, I remember that awful propeller incident. Kinda sticks in one's brain.
